What happens after a call is finished?

Log call outcomes, add notes, and track every interaction to keep your donor history clear.

Updated over a week ago

After finishing a call, it’s important to log the outcome to ensure all interactions are tracked for future follow-up. Incomplete or inaccurate records can lead to confusion, missed opportunities, or even donor disengagement.

What should I do after a call?

To keep your outreach records updated, every call should be followed by a quick logging step. Here's what to do right after each call completion :

Select the appropriate call outcome from the available options.

  • Not Home

  • Wrong Number Answered

  • Wrong / Disconnected

  • Refused

  • Call Back

  • Left Voicemail

  • Deceased

  • Do Not Contact

Add any notes about the interaction (e.g. interest level, latest update, specific instructions) then click the Save Interaction button.

If the contact has multiple phone numbers, you’ll be prompted to select which number you called. You can also select No Associated Phone Number if none apply as shown below.

Once submitted, the interaction and any notes will be saved in the Interaction History. Make sure to validate that everything is saved correctly.
