Large contact lists or broad filters
The most common cause of slowness is viewing or working with a very large set of contacts without narrowing the results. When you open a list or run a search that matches tens of thousands of records, the app has to load and count those rows, which takes longer.
Steps to try:
Add filters to reduce the number of matching contacts. Filtering by tag, state, donation range, or date added usually brings counts down quickly.
Use the column sort and filter controls rather than scrolling through an unfiltered list.
Save frequently used filtered views as lists so you do not have to rebuild the query each time.
Browser cache or extensions
A stale browser cache or a conflicting extension can cause slow rendering or blank sections.
Steps to try:
Hard-refresh the page (Shift + Reload on most browsers).
Open the app in a private or incognito window to rule out extensions.
Clear your browser cache and cookies for the app domain, then reload.
Try a different browser, or update your current one.
Network connection
A slow or unstable network affects every request the app makes, including loading contact data and receiving live updates.
Steps to try:
Check your connection speed and whether other sites are also slow.
Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection if possible.
If you are on a VPN, try disabling it temporarily to see whether that changes anything.
Live updates connection
The app maintains a persistent connection to receive real-time updates for the dialer and other collaborative features. If this connection is interrupted or slow to establish, parts of the UI may appear to hang until it reconnects.
Steps to try:
Reload the page. The connection re-establishes automatically on load.
If you are in an active dialer session and the display seems stuck, a full page reload is usually the fastest fix.
Contact support
If slowness is consistent and the steps above do not help, contact support and include:
Which page or feature is slow (for example: contact list, dialer, exports).
Roughly how many contacts are in your database.
Your browser and operating system.
Whether the issue affects all users in your account or just you.
