Pinwheel supports hundreds of payroll providers, but a few smaller systems aren't connected. If you can't find your employer, here's what to try.
Search by the payroll provider, not your employer
Your employer's name might not be searchable directly, but the payroll system they use probably is. Common ones include Gusto, ADP, Paychex, Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, and Justworks. Check a recent pay stub or your HR portal — the payroll system's name is usually printed at the top of pay stubs or shown when you log in.
Try variations of the company name
Companies are sometimes listed under a parent or sister entity. If your employer is a subsidiary, try the parent company name. If your pay stub uses a slightly different legal name, try that too.
If your employer really isn't there
Connecting your bank account is the next-fastest path when payroll isn't an option. If your pay is direct-deposited, bank verification works just as well.
If neither connection works for you, document upload (pay stubs, tax returns, 1099 forms) is the next step.
