Some properties include an application fee, paid when you submit your application. Here's how it works.
Does every application have a fee?
No. Some property managers charge an application fee, others don't. If your application includes a fee, you'll see it as a step in the flow.
What's the fee for?
The fee covers the cost of processing your application β running the screening checks (criminal, credit, eviction history), identity verification, and reviewing any documents you upload.
How much is the fee?
The amount is set by the property manager. You'll see the exact total on the payment screen before you confirm.
What payment methods are accepted?
Application fees are paid by credit or debit card. We use Stripe to process payments securely. Major card issuers β Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover β are all accepted.
When is the fee charged?
Your card is charged immediately when you complete the payment step.
What if I have a promo code?
If the property manager shared a promo code with you, enter it on the "Enter Promotional Code" screen before the payment step. See the related article on how to use a promo code.
