The property manager or leasing agent who invited you sent a link by email or text. Tap or click it to start.
What you'll see first
You'll land on a Rent Butter start screen that says "[Property Manager] uses RentButter to verify your application." Tap Start your verification to begin.
If you started the application earlier and want to pick up where you left off, tap Resume existing verification instead and enter your email.
How long it takes
Most applicants finish in 10 minutes or less. Have your government-issued ID, SSN/ITIN, employer info, and current address ready to keep things moving.
What's next
After the start screen, you'll verify your phone number, then move through identity, income, and the rest of the application.
