I receive SSI, how do I provide proof of income?

Two ways to verify SSI as income — bank connection (recommended) or document upload.

SSI is income, and it verifies the same way as a paycheck. You have two options.

Bank verification (recommended)

If your SSI is deposited directly into your bank account, the fastest way to verify is through bank connection. We pull your recent deposits and you confirm the SSI payments as your income — no documents to gather or upload.

Document upload

If you receive SSI by paper check or prefer to verify with documents, upload one of these:

  • Benefit Verification Letter from the Social Security Administration (the most authoritative)

  • A recent benefit statement

  • Your award letter

You can request a Benefit Verification Letter at ssa.gov/myaccount/ — typically delivered within minutes if you already have a my Social Security account.
