Overview
This guide will show you how to correctly enable Zillow Spotlight, so that leads flow correctly into RentEngine. Currently, only AppFolio supports this feature.
Steps to enable Zillow Spotlight
If you want to use the Spotlight feature and already have a contract for it through Zillow, these are the steps to follow:
Turn off the syndication for a single RentEngine listing
Turn on the Post to Internet feature in AppFolio for each listing
Adjust your AppFolio settings so that new leads are forwarded to the following email and phone number
Email: you can find this by pressing Add Prospect in the Command Center tab
Phone Number: you can find this at the bottom left of the Command Center tab (this is your dedicated RentEngine leasing phone number)
Finally turn on the Spotlight feature in AppFolio
What happens next
Syndication of that listing will switch from RentEngine to AppFolio, but interested leads will still flow directly into RentEngine for scheduling and communication.
