Why 3 years?
Under the Renters' Rights Act, tenancies in England are rolling, which means they don't have a fixed end date. A 3-year guarantee gives you and your landlord peace of mind for as long as you're likely to stay, and you only pay once. Other guarantors often charge again every year.
Do I have to stay for 3 years?
No. The guarantee doesn't commit you to staying. If you move out sooner, your guarantee simply ends when your tenancy ends.
Can I get a shorter guarantee for a lower fee?
No. We only offer the 3-year guarantee, and your fee isn't based on how long you plan to stay.

Your start and end dates are on your guarantee certificate in your dashboard.
