Overview
The patient personalization flow reimagines the first experience patients have in your RepeatMD Patient App. Instead of browsing a generic catalog, patients enter a guided onboarding journey that captures preferences, introduces AI advisors, and unlocks tailored recommendations immediately.
Intake data is visible in the Admin Portal so staff see patient goals and preferences without extra manual entry.
This article is for practice owners, managers, and admins who want patients to complete onboarding and for staff who follow up using captured preferences.
Before You Start
Personalization appears in the Patient App after account creation.
Patients only see the full personalized onboarding if your shop has 10 or more items available (enough catalog depth for meaningful recommendations).
Treatment history and skin type questions appear only if your practice offers skin care treatments.
See Adonis and Aria overview (Admin Panel) for advisor behavior after onboarding.
Why It Matters
The onboarding flow sets the tone for the entire patient journey.
For patients: Premium, personalized experience from the first session. Builds trust and confidence.
For practices: Adonis and Aria capture key details upfront. Staff see intake data in Admin and can follow up with precision.
Patients engage earlier and more deeply while practices see stronger booking and retention through smoother onboarding.
How It Works
Guided setup
Patients move through short screens (not one long form):
Core profile details: Minimal required fields; optional fields clearly marked.
Goals and concerns: What patients want to achieve (clearer skin, anti-aging, event timelines).
Treatment history: Context on prior treatments for more relevant guidance.
Skin type selection: Shown only if your practice offers skin care treatments.
Flexibility: Patients can skip questions or exit and finish later under account settings.
Fewer questions per screen, autofill support, and instant recommendations after goals and concerns are shared.
Existing patients
When existing users log in after the update, Adonis and Aria invite them to answer personalization questions. If they skip initially, they can finish from the home page or account settings.
Choosing an advisor
Patients choose Adonis or Aria to match communication style. If skipped, assignment defaults by gender selection (Adonis/male, Aria/female; alternate handling for non-binary or not shared).
Personalized recommendations
From day one, Adonis and Aria tailor suggestions using goals and preferences. Staff view those insights in the Admin Portal for follow-up.

Minimum catalog requirement
Personalized onboarding displays only when your shop has 10 or more items available so recommendations have enough catalog depth.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Review captured preferences in Admin
Log in to the RepeatMD Admin Panel.
Click on Client Profiles in the left-hand navigation.
Open the patient's Client Profile and review the patient's personalization intake. (Lower right-hand side of patient's Client Profile)
Review goals, concerns, treatment history, advisor selection, and advisor conversation before outreach.
Encourage completion in patient communications
Include a reminder to finish onboarding in launch email or text templates.
Highlight that personalized recommendations unlock after goals are shared.
For existing app users, prompt them to complete the new flow from home or settings.
Monitor onboarding in advisor dashboards
Track conversation volume and conversion from patients who completed onboarding vs. skipped.
Best Practices and Pro Tips
Encourage full completion for the strongest recommendations, but respect skip options to avoid friction.
Follow up using intake data shown in Admin rather than re-asking the same questions on the phone.
Keep catalog at 10+ items if you rely on personalized onboarding for conversion.
Update preferences over time: Patients can change goals in account settings; check Admin before major consults.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: Can the practice customize the personalization survey?
A: Not at this time. The survey was designed to capture the most relevant details for accurate recommendations without extra setup.
Q: Are there options to skip personalization?
A: Yes. Patients can skip individual questions or the entire flow. Skip options stay visible so patients can access the app quickly if they prefer.
Q: What if we have fewer than 10 shop items?
A: The full personalized onboarding experience does not display until the catalog meets the minimum item threshold.
Q: Do skin type and treatment history questions always show?
A: No. They appear only if your practice offers skin care treatments.
