Every practice has its own unique approach to communicating with patients. With custom instructions, you can fine-tune Adonis and Aria so they sound like part of your team. Custom instructions enable you to add practice-specific context, highlight what matters most to your patients, and ensure that responses always reflect your brand's voice.

By default, Adonis and Aria are neutral, friendly and professional. With customization, you can go further and train them to deliver answers that feel unique to your practice.


How to Create Custom Instructions

Step 1: Go to Custom Instructions

  • In the Admin Portal, click on Adonis & Aria from the left hand nav, then click on Settings.

  • Review the default starter questions patients see when they begin a conversation. These prompts help guide the interaction and can be updated or customized at any time.

  • Scroll to find Custom Instructions in the settings page.

Step 2: Add Any Additional Rules

  • Use the text field to provide extra context and or specific rules.

  • Examples include:

    • “When patients ask about consultation fees, remind them we offer free first visits.”

    • “When someone asks about Botox pricing, always mention we have a membership that lowers cost per unit.”

    • “Use a warm, encouraging tone - our patients should always feel supported.”

Step 3: Save & Test

  • After auto-saving, test Adonis or Aria in your app. These updates will instantly reflect in new conversations.

  • Ask a few common patient questions to confirm the advisor is following your custom instructions.

  • Adjust as needed until the tone and responses match your practice’s style.

  • Reinforce your brand: Add tone guidance (e.g., “encouraging and approachable” or “clinical and confident”) so advisors sound like your staff.

  • Use clarity over creativity: Patients value clear, direct answers over clever phrasing.
