Customize shop category hero images (Admin Panel)

Learn how to upload hero images for Treatments, Packages, and Browse by Concern so your Shop matches your practice branding.

Upload your own imagery in the different Shop categories and continue to make the app look and feel like your practice.

Overview

Your Shop category screens can display custom hero images at the top of each section. From the Services and App Builder, you can upload imagery for Treatments, Packages, Memberships, and Browse by Concern so the app looks and feels like your practice.

This article is for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to customize shop visuals beyond default imagery.

Before You Start

  • You must have Administrator, Manager, or Marketing access to edit App Builder content.

  • Click Services or App Builder in the left-side navigation.

  • Recommended hero image specs (all four categories):

    • Dimensions: 1170 x 600px

    • File type: JPG or PNG

    • Max file size: 2MB

  • Review Asset guide (Admin Panel) for additional shop imagery dimensions (category thumbnails, browse hero, treatment cards).

  • Browse by Concern images update in two places: the home screen Browse by Concern section and the matching Shop category. Plan imagery accordingly.

Why It Matters

Custom category hero images help you:

  • Keep branding consistent across Home and Shop as patients browse treatments and packages.

  • Highlight priority services with imagery that reflects your current marketing focus.

  • Improve engagement with visuals patients recognize from your website or in-office materials.

  • Guide patients into the right shop sections with clear, category-specific imagery.

How It Works

Three category screens. RepeatMD supports custom hero images on:

  1. Treatments — top of the Treatments services category

  2. Packages — top of the Packages services category

  3. Memberships — top of the Memberships services category

  4. Browse by Concern — bottom of the App Builder page under Browse By Concern category

Where to upload: Treatments, Packages, and Memberships happen in Services using the tab at the top of the screen (Treatments, Packages, or Memberships). Browse by Concern happens in App Builder at the bottom of the page under Browse By Concern category

Thumbnail pairing: If you also customize category thumbnail images in Shop Browse, keep thumbnails aligned with their header images. See the Category thumbnail images and Category header images sections in Asset guide (Admin Panel).

Best Practices and Pro Tips

  • Avoid busy patterns. Simple imagery keeps any overlay text readable.

  • Match thumbnails to headers. When you change a category header image, update the corresponding thumbnail in Shop Browse so the experience stays cohesive.

  • Use treatment-specific imagery where possible. Show patients receiving a service rather than abstract stock photos.

  • Revisit images after menu changes. When you add or retire major service lines, refresh category heroes to reflect your current offerings.

  • Compress large files. Stay under the 2MB limit to avoid upload failures.

Common Mistakes and FAQs

Q: I updated Browse by Concern but only see the change in one place. Why?

A: Browse by Concern images should update on both the home screen and the Shop category from a single upload on the Home tab. If you only see one update, refresh the preview or re-upload the file. Contact support@repeatmd.com if the issue persists.

Q: What dimensions should I use?

A: 1170 x 600px for all three category hero images. See Asset guide (Admin Panel) for thumbnail and treatment card dimensions.

Q: Can I upload hero images from MedCommerce Engine instead of App Builder?

A: Category hero images are configured in App Builder. Treatment and package catalog details (pricing, descriptions, publishing) are managed under MedCommerce Engine.

Q: Who can upload category hero images?

A: Administrators, Managers, or Marketing with App Builder access.
