Activating the FedEx integration in Returbo involves a few steps, including a two-step authentication process through FedEx. Follow this guide carefully to complete the setup.
1. Enter Your FedEx Account Number
To begin the activation, you’ll need your FedEx account number.
🔍 How to Find Your Account Number
You can locate your account number in two places:
On your invoice
Look at the top right-hand corner of your FedEx invoice. The account number is a nine-digit number. You can also view your invoices online through FedEx® Billing Online.
In your online account
Log in to your FedEx account.
From the dropdown menu, select My profile.
Click Account management. Your account number will be displayed on this page.
👉 If you still can’t find it, go to Create shipment and select Contact administrator. They will help you retrieve it.
You then need to choose the address associated with you FedEx account
🔍 How to Find Account Address
To find your account address:
Log in to your FedEx account at fedex.com
From the dropdown menu, select My Profile
Click on Account Management.
You will find your account information, including the shipping address, on this page.
👉 If you don't see the information, or if you are trying to find a different account address, you may need to use FedEx Admin Tools or contact FedEx Customer Support
🔍 How to Add a New Account Address
If the address you want to use is different from any existing addresses in Returbo, you’ll need to add a new one before proceeding.
Go to Settings → Request Settings → General → Return and restock locations.
Click on Add location
Fill in the address in the pop up. Once done, click on Add location.
You can now go back to Settings → Integrations → FedEx and choose the correct address.
2. Choose Your Service
Next, select the FedEx service you want to use with Returbo.
3. Apply Country Rules (Optional)
If needed, specify country-specific shipping rules for your FedEx integration. This means what countries you want to use FedEx in.
4. Activate the Carrier
Click Activate carrier.
The integration status will now change to Authentication required.
You will now need to reopen
A pop-up window will appear asking you to provide the following details:
Your FedEx account number (again)
The address associated with the account
You will also need to read through the FedEx End User License Agreement (EULA) as is required by FedEx..
Once you reach the end:
Accept the terms of the FedEx EULA.
Click Proceed to continue.
5. Complete FedEx Two-Step Verification
FedEx requires you to verify your account through one of the following methods:
SMS: A PIN code is sent to the phone number on file.
Disclaimer: you can re-try the code 3 times then you will need to wait 30 minutes to try again.
Email: A PIN code is sent to the email address on file.
Phone call: A FedEx representative will call the associated phone number and provide the PIN.
Invoice verification: You’ll need to provide the invoice number, amount, date, and currency.
👉 For all methods except invoice verification, you must enter the PIN to proceed.
6. Confirmation
If everything is entered correctly, the integration status will change to Active.
If there’s an issue, the status will show Activation error. Review the information and try again.
