Overview

Do you have a PHA you would like to share with your team without paying for additional PHA software licenses? Or maybe prepare for an upcoming revalidation within LivePHA® without needing to send a file to the Risk Alive Team?

You can now upload or import your PHA into LivePHA by yourself!

This way, you can make it easy for your team to capture PHA information and get access to updated analytics in real-time!

Importing Your Own PHA Data

Navigating to the Feature

You can begin the import process by clicking on the top right triple dot icon, then selecting "Import New File" from the drop down menu. This can be done from any page in the LivePHA project.

Uploading PHA Data

There are two steps in the importing process: Uploading and Hierarchy Prep. To upload your file, follow the on-screen instruction to select or drag and drop a .csv file to the left-side block.

Please note that importing a new file and then submitting the data to the Risk Alive database will update analytics insights (if available already). Any existing custom-built Recommendation Sequences will be reset. If this is acceptable, then turn on the toggle in the left-side block. You cannot import new data if this toggle is turned off, as seen in Figure 2.

Figure 2. Upload Page

The right-side block for "Additional Options" contains a toggle for Scenario Mirroring. If your data has one consequence text corresponding to many consequence receptors like in the table below, please turn on this toggle. This will format the data from Table 1 to Table 2. If your PHA data already resembles Table 2, then there is no need to mirror.

Once you have selected your file and turned on the appropriate toggles, click on

Hierarchy Prep

The second and final step to importing your own data is Hierarchy Prep, where you can map your data columns to let the Risk Alive database know what is in each column.

This page has three major sections (visually divided by white blocks), shown in Figure 3.

  • The left section contains a full list of the column names found in the file you just uploaded.

  • The middle section contains a full list of the Risk Alive data columns.

  • The right section will show a preview of what the imported data will look like within LivePHA based on the mapping completed in the first two sections.

Figure 3. Hierarchy Prep Page

How to use Hierarchy Prep Page:

  1. By default, the AI will automatically match as many Source Columns to a Destination Column as it can. Check that these were matched correctly by scrolling through the Destination Column section (middle section).

  2. Map the rest of your source data by clicking on a Source Column, then selecting the appropriate Destination Column like Figure 4.

  3. If the data contained in a single Source Column is better suited being in two Destination Columns, you can select the Source Column then click "Split Column" as seen in Figure 4.

  4. You can also concatenate two Source Columns into one single Destination Column (such as Cause Description and Operating Mode). To do this, add Source Column #1 to the appropriate Destination, then add Source Column #2 to the same Destination.

  5. Click on the "Generate Preview" button on the right to see the first 50 rows of your data. Double check that the mapping has been done correctly. If anything looks off, you can adjust the mapping by revisiting Steps 2 to 4.

  6. If everything looks good, click on the "Import" button to import the data to LivePHA! You can now edit your PHA or complete any outstanding recommendation items.

  7. Please note that importing data does not automatically update the analytics. If you would like to update the analytics, please revisit the drop down menu in Figure 1 and click on "Submit to Risk Alive".
