You'll sometimes have a job in Road Ninja where you don't record any time. This could be due to a change of roster, taking the day off or simply forgetting to start and stop your job timer.
Even when a job doesn't have recorded time, they're still a valid job and there are payment implications for both driver and company - so they needed to be managed.
Expired Jobs
When a job doesn't have any recorded time, we automatically 'expire' these jobs based on certain criteria:
If the job has a specified start and end time and the job timer isn't started before the job's end time, the job will be expired at the job's end time.
If the job has a minimum hours guarantee and no specified hours, we'll expire the job on the next calendar day.
We'll always expire a job if there's another job starting within 1 hour.
When a job expires, we send it to the 'Completed jobs' section within 'My jobs' for further management:
Managing Expired Jobs
You'll be able to identify expired jobs by the availability of the 'Cancel job' button:
You have two options when it comes to handling an expired job π
log hours - you'll be able to update your billable hours retroactively if you want to charge the hiring company. For more information, check out our article on updating your billable hours.
cancel Job - you can cancel a job which notifies the company that you've cancelled the job and that you're not charging for that job.
When you click 'Cancel job', you'll have to confirm that you'd like to cancel the job by clicking 'Yes' on the popup warning.
