Yes — lost checked luggage may be covered
Losing your luggage can be frustrating, especially when you're far from home.
If your checked luggage is lost during a flight or cruise, Nomad Insurance Complete may reimburse you for the bag and the items inside, as long as the luggage remains missing for at least 10 days and the situation meets the policy conditions.
Important conditions
To qualify for this benefit:
The luggage must have been checked with the airline or cruise carrier
The baggage must remain missing for at least 10 days before a claim can be submitted
The loss must meet the policy conditions
What you’ll need to submit a claim
To help us review your claim, please include:
Written confirmation from the airline or cruise line showing the date and time the baggage was received or confirmed missing
Proof the luggage was checked with the carrier
A property irregularity report or incident report filed with the carrier (if available)
Proof of ownership for the lost items, such as:
Purchase receipts or warranty cards
Bank or credit card statements if receipts are unavailable
Serial numbers or photos of serial numbers (if available)
Proof of compensation received from the airline or other sources (if applicable)
A copy of a government-issued ID, if requested
In some cases, we may ask for additional information or documentation to complete the review.
Reimbursement limits
Up to USD 500 per item
Up to USD 3,000 per policy year
Up to USD 6,000 lifetime maximum under the plan
