How to Create a Timesheet

Instructions to make a new timesheet for an employee

Creating a timesheet allows worked hours to be recorded when a shift has not been captured automatically or needs to be entered manually. Timesheets can be created from the Approving Timesheets view, updated with shift details, and then reviewed before approval. This ensures hours worked are accurately recorded and ready for payroll processing. This guide explains how to create a timesheet.

Creating a Timesheet

  1. From the Dashboard, click Approving Timesheets in the left-hand column.

  2. Select the orange Create Timesheet button.

  3. Make your selections from the drop-down menus.

  4. Locate the date for the new timesheet.

  5. To the right of the date, click the pen and notepad icon.

  6. Enter the shift details.

  7. Click Save.

  8. The timesheet has now been created but is not yet approved.

  9. From Approving Timesheets, you can edit, approve, reject, or add a note to the timesheet.
