The free version of SDS Mobile™ lets you search for SDS sheets, scan UPC barcodes, and save favorites — no subscription needed.
Steps marked Full access require a full-access subscription.
Before You Start
You will need:
An iPhone running iOS 14 or later, or an Android phone running Android 8.0 or later
A Wi-Fi or cellular data connection to download the app and search for SDS sheets
A valid email address to create your account
Tip: You do not need a subscription to download the app or start searching. Download the app for free and create an account to get started.
Setup Steps
Step 1
iOS & Android Download SDS Mobile™
Search for “SDS Mobile” in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). Tap Get or Install. The app is free to download.
iPhone (iOS) / Android
Open the App Store. Tap the search icon at the bottom right. Type “SDS Mobile.” Tap the app with the SDS Mobile™ logo. Tap Get.
Open the Google Play Store. Tap the search bar at the top. Type “SDS Mobile.” Tap the app with the SDS Mobile™ logo. Tap Install.
Step 2
iOS & Android Open the App
Once the app has downloaded, tap the SDS Mobile™ icon on your home screen to open it.
Step 3
iOS & Android Create Your Account
Tap Create account on the home screen. Enter your name, email address, and a password. Tap Create account to confirm.
Important: Check your email for a verification message from SDS Mobile™ and tap the link to confirm your address. Your account is not fully active until you verify your email.
Already have an account? Tap Log in instead and enter your email address and password.
Step 4
iOS & Android Search for Your First SDS Sheet
Tap the search bar at the top of the home screen. Type the product name, manufacturer, or chemical name you’re looking for. Tap Search.
Tip: If you’re not sure of the exact product name, try the manufacturer name or a key chemical in the product. You can also scan the UPC barcode on the product container — see Step 5.
Tap any result in the list to open the full SDS. Swipe up to read through all 16 sections, including hazard information, first aid measures, and safe handling instructions.
Step 5
iOS & Android Scan a UPC Barcode
Tap the barcode icon next to the search bar. Point your camera at the UPC barcode on the product container and hold steady. SDS Mobile™ will find the matching SDS automatically.
Tip: Barcode scanning works best in good lighting. If the scan does not find a result, try searching by product name instead. If the SDS is missing from our database, you can request it be added.
Step 6
iOS & Android Save an SDS to Your Favorites
While viewing any SDS, tap the tap the option to save it to your Favorites. To access your Favorites, tap the Favorites tab on the Main Menu of the app.
Your Favorites list is saved to your account, so it is available on any device where you are logged in to SDS Mobile™.
Step 7
iOS & Android Download SDS Sheets for Offline Access
While viewing any SDS, tap the download option to save it to Offline Mode Once downloaded, the SDS is available even when you have no Wi-Fi or cellular signal.
Important: You need an active internet connection to download an SDS. Once it is downloaded, it is stored on your device and available offline. Plan ahead — download the SDS sheets your team needs before travelling to a job site with no signal.
To see your downloaded SDS sheets, tap the Offline Mode tab on the Main Menu.
Full access also unlocks AudibleSDS™, which reads SDS sheets aloud in more than 20 languages.
Important: AudibleSDS™ requires a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection to read safety data sheets aloud. It does not work in offline mode.

Save the SDS sheets you use most often so you can find them in seconds on site.
Try a barcode scan
It is faster than typing a product name. Try it on any chemical container in your workspace.
Download key SDS sheets (full access)
Download the SDS sheets for chemicals on your current job site before you leave Wi-Fi range.
Set your AudibleSDS™ language (full access)
If your team speaks a language other than English, set the language in app settings before your first job site visit. Requires a connection to use.

Common Questions
I can’t find the SDS I’m looking for.
Try searching by the manufacturer name or a chemical in the product. If the SDS is not in our database, see our article on How to Request a Missing SDS.
I didn’t receive a verification email.
Check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, email support@kha.com.
The barcode scan is not finding a result.
Ensure you have good lighting and that the entire barcode is visible in the camera frame. If the scan consistently fails, search by product name instead.
My downloaded SDS sheets are not showing up offline.
Make sure you were connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when you tapped download, and that the download completed before you lost signal.
AudibleSDS™ is not working.
AudibleSDS™ requires an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection — it does not work in offline mode. Check your connection and try again.
