What information does Sellar Distribution need from you?

Ahead of going live, please send an email to distribution@sellar.io with the following information:

All Suppliers:

  • Contact Information - A phone number and email address(es) for those picking the orders that we will collect/receive. This will be used to contact you about collections/pallets and any questions we have.

  • Expected Volume Per Week - In packaged units/hL/bbl/kg - Whichever you have data for. If National Pallet suppliers could give an estimate of Pallets per week as well this would be appreciated.

  • Requested Go Live Date - The day and time you want the Sellar Distribution service to be activated, after which point your customers will see it as a delivery option

If we are collecting from you:

  • Site Access Information - Opening hours for your site, and any other access considerations e.g “Staff not permanently on site, please call 30 mins ahead” or “Access via roller shutter at the rear of the building on X street”

If you are sending pallets to us :

  • Your Pallet Service Provider - This will help us gauge what time pallets are likely to arrive at our depot, and investigate if any don’t arrive within the expected window.

Brewery Management Set-Up

If your orders flow into Breww, BrewMan or Viewplan you will need to adjust some settings to help. These will all result in a picking list for what we will collect.

Breww

If you have Breww integrated with Sellar, you won’t need to set up anything prior to being able to process Sellar Distribution orders.

In Breww, orders will be automatically allocated to a ‘Sellar Distribution’ courier. This makes it easy to view a pick list for all the order items which are due to be fulfilled by the Sellar Distribution team on a given day.

BrewMan

If you have Brewman integrated with Sellar, there is a small bit of setup required to view a pick list for all the order items which are due to be fulfilled by the Sellar Distribution team on a given day. The steps are:

  1. Follow this guide from Brewman and create a delivery service called “Sellar Distribution”

  2. Then head to the integrations page in BrewMan, select 'Sellar' and then switch to the settings tab. You should now see all the 'Set-Up' for your Sellar Integration.

  3. Select Edit in the top right, these options in the list will become editable.

  4. Scroll down to the ‘Distribution Method Mapping’ section and toggle this to 'Yes' (if it isn't already)

  5. Next select 'Add row'.Add the following information to the respective fields:

    • Shipping Method Name: sellarDistribution

    • Distribution Type: Courier

    • Courier: Sellar Distribution (this will be the courier delivery service you created earlier)

  6. To save all these changes, select 'Save'.

ViewPlan

If you have ViewPlan integrated with Sellar, please refer to ViewPlan’s User Help Guide. ViewPlan recommend creating a new ‘vehicle’ and mapping orders which have a fulfilmentType of sellarDistribution to it.

What if I don’t have a BMS integrated with Sellar?

In Sellar, head to the 'Distribution' page where you will find a pick list for all the order items which are due to be fulfilled by the Sellar Distribution team on a given day. Only orders that are finalised in Sellar with the ‘Fulfilment Type’ of ‘Sellar Distribution’ will appear here.

Buyer Experience Changes

Your Customers will see slightly different options when placing an order through Sellar.

Your customers will see an additional delivery option, which they can choose. That is Sellar Distribution. If they are in your direct delivery area and SD they may choose this to receive a consolidated delivery with other Suppliers.

If you want an area that you currently cover to only be serviced by Sellar Distribution going forward, you will need to delete the relevant postcodes from your Direct Delivery Area.

Proforma Payment Options - Your Customers on proforma payment terms in Sellar will only be offered card payment or Sellar Credit at checkout. To ensure that delivery time frames are met.

We recommend checking your Customer List in Sellar to ensure everyone is on the correct payment terms. For example, those that are on proforma but should be on terms with yourself.
