Types of Delivery Settings

With Sellar you will offer a few different types of delivery to your customers.

Direct Delivery - Where you deliver directly to your customer using your own service. You will set up the postcode areas where you deliver.

Courier Delivery - Where a courier will pick up and deliver the products, using Sellar Shipping or your own chosen courier. This is everyone who is outside your direct area

Pallet Delivery - Where delivery is fulfilled via a pallet for orders of larger weight or quantity. Selected specifically by yourself or the customer.

Collection - Where the customer collects from you. You can turn this on or off, depending on whether this is something you can offer.

How are Delivery Types assigned?

Each delivery type is assigned to customers or chosen by them.

Automatically assigned by Postcode - When a customer is added to your list or visits your Storefront, we will automatically allocate them Direct or Courier Delivery. Based on whether they sit inside or outside of your Direct Delivery Areas.

Chosen by your customer when ordering - When ordering, Customers can choose from all the options they have available to them for delivery. Direct Customers can choose Courier if it's quicker. Courier Customers can choose Pallet if they want larger items. Everyone can choose a collection if you offer it.

Chosen by you - You have the tools to override delivery by editing a single order or always set a Customer to Pallet delivery for example.
