Failed & Cancelled Transfers

Transfers don’t fail silently in Sequence.

If something didn’t go through, there’s always a reason attached.

This makes it easy to understand what happened, and fix it fast.

Why a transfer might fail or be cancelled

A transfer can stop for a few common reasons, including:

  • Insufficient funds in the source account

  • Disconnected accounts

  • Temporary bank issues

  • Rule conditions not met at runtime

Each failed or cancelled transfer includes a clear explanation.

How to find the reason

You can always see why a transfer failed or was cancelled.

Here’s how:

  • Click Activity Log in the left sidebar

  • Find the failed or cancelled transfer

  • Click on it

  • A side panel opens showing the exact reason

Fixed the issue? Run the rule immediately

If a transfer failed but the issue is now resolved, you don’t need to wait.

Example:

  • A transfer failed due to insufficient funds

  • You’ve since added enough money to the account

You can rerun the automation right away.

How to run a rule manually

  • Head back to your Map

  • Click into the rule (the line / arrow that connects the accounts involved)

  • Click the three dots in the top-right

  • Select Settings

  • Click Run rule now

The transfer will attempt again instantly.
