How do I add a bank account in Sharesies Private?

To receive dividend payments, you’ll need to add a bank account in Sharesies Private. This is done within the Custom fields section for each company you’ve invested in.

To receive dividend payments, you’ll need to add a bank account in Sharesies Private. This is done within the Custom fields section for each company you’ve invested in.

How to add a bank account

  1. Select the company

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Custom fields

  3. Go to the Dividend fields tab

  4. Click Add bank account

  5. Enter your bank account details

  6. Click Save

What details do I need to enter?

Basic details

  • Account holder name

  • Account nickname (optional)

  • Currency (e.g. NZD, AUD, CAD, GBP)

Choose your payment type

You’ll also need to select a Payment Type:

  • Local payment – for domestic bank accounts (refer to images 5a-5c)

    • This should be the most common option available

  • International – for overseas bank accounts (refer to images 6a-6c)

Enter your bank details

The fields you’ll need to complete depend on your currency and payment type:

Local payments

If you select Local, you’ll need to provide:

  • NZD - New Zealand Bank Account

  • AUD - BSB and Account Number

  • CAD - Transit Number, Institution Number and Account Number

Once completed, click Save.

International payments

If you select International, you’ll need to provide the above information and the following:

Additional Bank Account details:

  • Country of domicile

  • SWIFT/BIC

  • Bank name

  • Bank address

Beneficiary Address:

  • Street Address

  • City

  • State / Province

  • Postal

  • Country

Additional Routing (if required):

  • Intermediary Bank Name

  • Swift

  • Country

  • Account Number

For Further Credit (if required):

  • Final Beneficiary Name

  • Account Number / Reference

  • Additional Instructions

Once completed, click Save.

Important things to know

  • Make sure your details are correct before saving to avoid payment delays

  • Your bank account is used to receive dividend payments from the company

  • You may need to add a bank account for each company you’ve invested in

What happens next?

Once your bank account is saved:

  • It will be available for dividend payments

  • The company will use it when distributing dividends
