The Shop Pass pop-up is how you turn an anonymous visitor into a known, high-intent shopper. Before a visitor has shared a phone number, the pop-up invites them to log in; after they log in, it can hand them a discount to nudge the purchase. Treat it as a funnel step, not just a UI element — a well-timed, on-brand pop-up captures more phone numbers, and identified shoppers convert far better than anonymous ones.
All setup lives in one place. → Open Shop Pass → Customise → Core Setup in your Shopflo dashboard. https://dashboard.shopflo.com/sso/setup
The editor has two panels: a live pop-up preview on the left, and the customisation controls on the right. Click any element in the preview and the right panel jumps to the setting that controls it. Use the Device toggle to preview mobile vs desktop, and the Step toggle to switch between Pre login and Post login.
Before You Begin
The pop-up has two states, and you set them up separately:
Pre login — shown to anonymous visitors to collect a phone number.
Post login — shown after the shopper logs in, to offer a discount.
If you plan to show a discount post-login, create the corresponding coupon in Shopflo first, and make sure you know your margins — a post-login discount eats directly into your revenue.
How to Set Up the Pre-Login Pop-up
Step 1: Go to Shop Pass → Customise → Core Setup, and set the Step toggle to Pre login.
Step 2: Brand. Open the Brand section and set:
Logo — upload your brand logo (max width 150px).
Popup background — the solid background colour of the pop-up shell.
Border Radius — 0px for sharp corners; increase for rounded corners to match your brand.
Primary CTA — the button label (e.g. "Proceed"), plus CTA Colour (button background) and Text Colour.
Step 3: Text. Open the Text section to control the copy shoppers read:
Logo, title & subtitle alignment — Left, Center, or Right. The logo aligns with the text to stay consistent.
Title Colour and Subtitle Colour.
Title (up to 40 characters) and an optional Subtitle (up to 60 characters). Write copy that gives the shopper a reason to share their number — e.g. "Curated Care For You".
Step 4: Elements — Banner and Cards. Open the Elements section to add supporting visuals.
Banner: toggle Show Banner on, then set the banner Background Color, Text Color, and Banner Text (up to 60 characters).
Cards: toggle Show Cards on. Card styling has two levels:
Applies to all cards — Background, Text colour, Border colour, Border Width, and Border Radius.
Per card — a Title (max 30 chars), a Description (max 60 chars), and an optional Background Image (must be under 1 MB; suggested aspect ratio 16:9) with an Image Fit of Fill, Contain, or Cover.
You can add up to 5 cards with the + Add another card button, each carrying a different offer or motivation. If you would rather keep it simple, hide the cards and show the banner instead.
Step 5: Trigger action. Open Trigger action to decide when the pop-up appears:
Show to customers automatically — set a Trigger time (delay in seconds before the pop-up shows). The maximum is 10 seconds: first-time visitors are most likely to enter their number early, and the likelihood drops sharply after that.
Manually from account section — the shopper opens it themselves from their account.
How to Set Up the Post-Login Discount
Switch the Step toggle to Post login. This state is shown after the shopper logs in and can also be used to incentivise the purchase with a discount.
Open Discount Configuration and turn on Coupon card after login, then set:
Coupon Code — the code applied (e.g. FLAT500).
Title and Description — the offer headline and detail (e.g. "500/- Off", "On shopping above 2999/-").
Tag, with Tag Background and Tag Text colours.
You can also customise the post-login Text, CTA Colour, and Background, the same way as the pre-login state.
How to Enable or Disable elements in the Pop-up
Each customisable section has an eye (show/hide) icon — click it to show or hide that element on the pop-up. To turn the whole experience on or off, use the Shop Pass show/hide control, then Save.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Use the live preview to navigate. Click any element in the left preview and the right panel jumps straight to its settings.
Write card and title copy from the shopper's lens — each card is a chance to give a different reason to log in.
Keep card images under 1 MB or they won't upload.
Always click Save when you're done — an unsaved-changes bar appears at the bottom until you do.
