Do you need help with digital identification through the NFC method?

This article will help you out!

How does it work?

  • Open the link which guides you to the web form;

  • You can change the language settings in the right corner;

  • Select the Signhost App and Choose Next;

  • Download the Signhost app for IOS or Android;

    You do not have to create an account within the Signhost App!

  • Navigate back to the link that you have received from the company that has asked you to identify yourself;

  • Choose Start;

  • Follow the steps in the app;

    • Click Choose identity document;

    • Select which type of document you want to use ;

    • Open your passport on the photo page and adjust until the box turn green and a scan of the passport photo page has been made;

    • Place your phone on the document. Do not move the document or the phone while reading is in progress;

    • Align your face inside the oval;

    • Identity verification complete.

Tips

  • Lay your identity document flat on a table, preferably on a dark surface;

  • Hold your camera straight above it;

  • Be careful not to block any text on the document with your fingers;

  • Make sure that no light is reflected on the identity document from above;

  • Clean your camera and make sure it is in focus;

  • Remove the case from your phone;

  • Hold your phone still while scanning;

  • Make sure you have a good internet connection.

What can go wrong?

  • The document with which you are going through the identification process has expired. After you have completed the process, the message will read 'The document has expired, please try again with a valid document';

  • The surroundings are too dark for the camera. Make sure there is enough (day)light. And make sure the camera is clean;

  • Make sure you use the type of document that you selected in the first steps;

  • Verification failed > Open the URL to the identification process again and try again.
