Visibility, access and usage of each menu and functionality in your channel is able to be controlled via the Role Based Permissions in the Account section. You must have Administrator access to be able to create and edit permissions in your Channel:
In managing Permissions, you are able to drill down into:
Solution (particular Simpology Solutions)
and then per Solution, create particular Permission Group
and then per Permission Group, particular Section of functionality
Solution
The Solution dropdown allows you to select the particular 'solution' that you want to build or review/edit a Permission set for.
The key Solutions are that you can set permissions for are:
Simpology Manager, which is basically your 'channel', your whole Simpology world
This Solution segment allows you to define overall access to your channel, per Permission Group. For a breakdown of the permissions you can manage in Solution:Simpology Manager, click here.
Simpology Consumer, which is a solution setting that you should include in a User Profile if you want that User to be able to use Info Requests.
Loanapp, which is a solution setting that governs Loanapp e-lodgement functionality. For a breakdown of the permissions you can manage in Solution:Loanapp, click here.
Simpology Connect, which is a solution setting that governs API access to your channel. For a breakdown of the permissions you can manage in Solution:Simpology Connect, click here.
Simpology Omni, which is a solution setting that governs access to OMNI Assessment workflows and capability. For a breakdown of the permissions you can manage in Solution:Simpology Omni, click here.
Permission Groups
For each Solution, you can then define Permission Groups. Permission Groups are ultimately what you allocate to Users when you set up their Profile.
When Simpology builds your channel, we add a number of pre-set Permission groups, but you can create new ones as you need to by clicking the + sign:
You can set any number of Permission Groups, which means you can structure access to your channel to a very granular level. eg you can have a set of Permission Groups for your assessment team that gives subtly different access according to capabilities and authorities.
Section
For each of your Permission Groups, you are then able to set the access to each of the sections of your Channel. Each section will be made up of a number of functionality elements, which you can then set full access, view only access, or no access.
You can choose to work through every section in one go by selecting "All Sections":
Or you can work on a particular individual Section of the particular Solution by selecting it in the "section" dropdown eg here we have selected Document Verification Section, and we have all the relevant functionality for that Section:
Default Roles and Permissions
Your channel comes setup with a set of default roles and permissions that are known to be standard across our industry. If you allocate any of these default settings to a User profile, the User will automatically have this type of access.
You can review and update the default Roles and Permissions at any time (the pre-set defaults are just a start for your channel, you can completely re-set them if you wish).
Key Default Permission Groups are:
Default Permission Group: Administrator. This Permission Group will usually have access to all Section within Simpology Manager and other Solutions.
