The Omni Assessment Module is Simpology's module that can be configured to guide a Lender Assessor through the Lender's Assessment process. This article lists the initial configuration steps to add the Omni Solution to your channel.

Subscribe your Channel to the Omni Solution

If your Lender wants to use the Omni Solution for Assessment and/or x-channel submission, you will need to first give you channel a subscription to the Omni Solution. To do this, go to Account/Subscriptions/Subscription:

When you land on this page, click on the Edit icon:

This will allow you to add/delete/and enable subscriptions.

If the Omni subscription is not already in the list, find it in the dropdown and Add it:

When the Omni Subscription is in your list of subscriptions, you need to ensure you have enabled it by adding 1 to the quantity; switching the Active toggle to Yes; and clicking save:

You can close this page.

You will now have enabled the Omni Solution to be used in your channel.

Configure your Permissions to see (use) the Omni Module

Now that you have give your Channel access to the Omni Solution, you need to update all the User Types that you want to be able to see (use) Omni in your Channel.

👌 Note that you can create an number of different User Types in your Channel. For more on how to create User Types, click here

You can give access to Omni per user type - eg you might want an Assessor User to have access to Omni, but you do not want a broker to have access to Omni.

Go to Account/Security/Permissions:

In the Solution dropdown, select Omni:

Then find the Permission Group (User Type) that you want to give access to Omni (in this example, Assessor):

Give User Type Access to Omni

Select in the Section Dropdown: Menu.

You will want to ensure that this User type has Omni Communication Access switched to Yes:

This will mean that the User does not get automatically kicked out of the Omni Module when they open it.

💡Remember to repeat this step for all the different User Types that you want to be able to work with Omni

Switch on Omni functionality for this User Type

Next you will need to switch on different functionality within the Omni module for your User. You may want to allow different users to have different access to Omni functions - eg you might want to allow an Senior Assessor to be able to create a Condition of Approval; but a Junior Assessor cannot.

To manage the Omni Functionality for your User Type, select Section: Omni Application. You will get a list of all the different Functions that you can switch on (or leave off) for your User Type:

When you have switched on everything you want to for this user, click Save:

📖 For a description of each of the Omni Application Permissions and what they allow, click here.

💡Remember to repeat this step for all the different User Types that you want to be able to work with Omni.

Switch on Omni Digital Services for this User Type

If your Lender has Digital Services integrated in their Channel, and would like to be able to use these services in their Omni workflows, they will need to switch on the Digital Services Dashboard in Omni.

When you are setting up Omni, you are able to define which Users will be able to see/use the Digital Services Dashboard when they are in Omni. Select "Digital Services" in the Section dropdown:

If you set Access Digital Services Panel to Edit:

Then that User Type will be able to see (and use) the Digital Services switched on in Omni for that Channel.

💡Remember to repeat this step for all the different User Types that you want to be able to work with Digital Services in Omni.

Enable the Omni Menu item

Lastly, you need to ensure that the Omni Menu item is switched on for this user....this will mean that they can actually get into Omni. To do this, go to

  • Solution: Simpology Manager

  • Permission Group: whichever User Type you are configuring

  • Section: Menu Access

And then ensure that the Omni Menu item is switched to Yes:

This will ensure that Omni is available for that User to click through to via the Channel Menu:

💡Remember to repeat this step for all the different User Types that you want to be able to work with Digital Services in Omni.

Give your Users the correct Permissions to be able to use Omni

Now that you have created all your Roles and Permissions, you will need to add the correct Permissions to any new User that setup to have login access to your Channel. In this example, I am setting up a new Assessor on my team. Mary has all the Permissions that have been set for an Assessor:

This means when Mary logs in, she will only be able to access and use Solutions and functionality that has been set for a Credit Assessor user.

👌 You will note that the Permission for Omni has been added - this means that Mary will have access to Omni and its functionality.

Setup Omni Group Collaboration

Omni Group Collaboration is a function that set the visibility of Omni records that your Channel Users have when they are logged in to Omni.

At the very least, a Channel is in an Omni Group with itself. (ie XYZ Lender will be in the XYZ Lender Omni Group)

A Channel can be in 'collaboration' with more than one Omni Group - this will mean that a logged in user may be able to see Omni records for XYZ Lender and ABC Lender. This functionality is useful where the Channel owner is a Funder with (eg) many mortgage Managers submitting applications into the Funder Omni.

⚙️To complete Omni Group setup, you will need Simpology to setup the Omni Group hierarchy for your channel in the database.

You will at the very least need to ensure your Channel Lender is an Omni Group in its own channel.

For more on Omni Group Collaboration, click here.

Enable Omni Group Management in Permissions

Once this is confirmed as done, navigate back to Account/Security/Permissions

And go to:

  • Solution: Simpology Manager

  • Permission Group: whichever User Type you are configuring

  • Section: Organisation

And ensure that the Omni Group Management function is switched to Yes:

Save.

💡Remember to repeat this step for all the different User Types that you want to be able to work with Digital Services in Omni.

Setup the Visibility Level for each Omni Group

This step will control which Omni Groups are visible in the Channel's Omni. At the very least, XYZ Lender Omni should be able to see XYZ Lender Omni records. To setup the minimum of Omni Group Collaborations, go to Account/Profile and expand the section called "Data Access and Security":

At the bottom of this section, you will have an empty section called "Omni Group Collaboration Setup":

You will need to configure your Omni Group Collaborations (which Omni records you will see in this channel). At the very least, you will need to set up so that this channel has access to its own Omni records. To do this, click the + sign. A Setup window will popup. You will need to configure the following at a minimum - where your channel owner has membership to its own Omni:

Make sure to click 'is the lowest level'. When you have completed this, click Add, and you will see this membership has been established:

This will mean that when you login to XYZ Lender Omni, you will see Omni records for XYZ Lender applications.

🫣 Visibility is an important part of Omni Collab setup. Click here to understand more about Heirarchys and Visibility.

🤹 Remember that you can configure an Omni Collaboration to be able to see the Omni records of partner channels. To find out more about this functionality, please click here.
