Loanapp is the digital application for submitting mortgage applications to Assetline, with the configuration and functionality outlined in this article.

Please read through to understand the general experience for both you and your applicants.

The Assetline Loanapp is configured to capture all the data required to process and approve a loan application. It also allows you to:

  • get a digital VOI from your applicants

  • select your Product

  • check serviceability

  • generate any required Application Forms (and send off for Digital Signature)

  • upload your supporting documents against the required checklist

How do I have access to Loanapp?

There are two ways that you can have access to Loanapp:

  1. You may be able to use Loanapp via Direct Access. This will be granted by the Assetline team - chat to them if you would like to know more about this option.

    1. For details about Direct Login, click here

  2. If enabled, you will be able to launch Loanapp from your Aggregator CRM when you want to submit an application to Assetline. When you use Loanapp in this way, all your CRM data will populate across into the Loanapp record; and the Loanapp record will be forever tied to your CRM Opportunity (you can close down and re-open whenever you need to)

Direct Login: Starting a new Application

If you are using Loanapp via a Direct Login, you will need to create a new application. When you launch Loanapp, you can start a New application by clicking the New button in the top right corner:

Assetline has 2 Loanapp Journeys

Assetline has 2 distinct Loanapp journeys, that are configured differently. The two Journeys are:

  • Horizon Loan Term Product (a regular mortgage for Person, Company and Trust applicants, for up to 30 years)

  • Short Term Capital Lending (a shorter term (up to a few years) mortgage, generally for development capital)

When you click New, you will get a new popup to launch the correct Journey:

The Loanapp interface

The first page in Loanapp is the Setup Page - this is where you enter all the high-level detail about the application, and also add in your Applicants.

You will note a tick box against your name and your applicant's in the Manage Participants section that says "Okay to receive Info Request". This is for some great functionality called Info Request that allows you to send your applicants digital requests for information like supporting documents:

After you have setup the Application data, and added your applicants, you can click through to specific pages of your application via the side menu; or click through to the Applicants page via the bottom navigation button:

Digital Services

The Assetline Loanapp has some of digital services built into it, which you can use when creating your application submission. The digital services that are available are:

Digital Consent

The Digital Consent is a convenient method for your applicant/s to confirm their Privacy consent for the sharing of their data in order for Assetline to fulfil assessment activities.

The Digital Consent widget is found on the Applicants page, and will be triggered when you have completed all the Applicants personal details, and you click away from the Applicants page (eg continue to the Financial Position page):

Digital Verification of Identity

The Digital Verification of Identity is a service in the Assetline Loanapp to verify your Applicant's identity.

The Digital ID Verification widget is found at the bottom of the Applicants page. If you click on the widget you will be able to 'request' this service for your Applicant/s

The Digital ID Verification is triggered when your applicants have given their Digital Consent:

Once you have requested the service, the Widget will send the request to your applicant/s.

Note that you can continue working on your application while your applicants and completing the Consent. Loanapp will send you an email when their Consent/s are complete.

The Financial Position

The Financial Position is the page where you capture the existing Assets, Liabilities, Income and Expenses of your applicant/s:

The Loan Page

The Loan Page captures the detail of your Security Property, the Product and Loan details, and other detail such as Fees and Contributions:

Selecting your Product

Loanapp is powered by a Products Engine that can be updated at any time by Assetline. This means that the Products, Rates, Fees and product features will always be correct in Loanapp.

You will select your Product (or Products) in the Loan section:

Note that Loanapp has some great functionality that filters the products so that they match the data that you have entered into the application. eg if you select Interest Type: Variable and Payment Type: P&I - you will only get product variations with these features.

If you don't see the product you are after...it will most likely be because your data needs to be reviewed.

For more information on Product Filtering, please click here.

Note that Assetline also allows you to request Split Loans on the same application. To do this tick the "split loan" box, which will allow you to add product splits.

Product Fees

The fees that have been configured against each Product are also shown on-screen in this section:

You will note that some fees come across as $0 - if you don't know the exact fee, Assetline will complete this detail for you when assessing.

Serviceability

Loanapp will then generate a Serviceability outcome:

The Compliance Section

The Compliance section is a set of 'interview' questions that capture more information about your Applicant/s understanding of their application, preferences, retirement plans and other important compliance details.

Note that most of this section is mandatory and must be completed in order to submit.

The Summary Page

The Summary Page captures all of your application data on one page for quick review. If you notice anything that needs to be updated, an edit button on each section clicks you back through to the relevant area so that you can update the detail:

Documents (Print Forms)

The next section will present to you any Application or Print Forms that are available to generate for your application. Print Forms can have conditional logic set on them so that they only appear when required. When you first get to this page, the documents will be listed but not yet generated:

You are able to generate and download each of these forms by clicking the Generate Documents button, which will generate the documents and make them available to view and download.

You can then either use eSign for your applications to digitally sign the forms, or get wet signatures. For more detail on eSign, click here.

Submission Page

The final section is the Submission section. You will note at the bottom of the page 2 action buttons, and then the Submit Button.

The first step is to generate and finalise your supporting documents checklist before Submitting your app.

Generate Document Checklist

Click the first button, "Generate Document Checklist".

This button will generate your supporting documents checklist on a new tab. The supporting documents checklist will be on the left, and you will upload your documents on the right, to then drag across to the checklist items on the left:

For a full run through of the supporting documents functionality, please click here.

Request Supporting Docs

After you have worked on your Checklist, if there is anything that you dont have and still need to get from your Applicant/s - you can use Request Supporting Docs to send a request to your applicant/s to upload required supporting documents. This is optional.

When you press this button, it will automatically generate Info Requests for all outstanding supporting documents that you haven't yet uploaded into the checklist. The functionality will then send a message to your applicant/s to login to the secure portal and upload any documents that you still need.

If you use this functionality, and an applicant uploads and submits a required document, you will be able to send it to supporting documents to attach to your checklist.

For more detail about the Request Supporting Docs functionality, click here.

Proceed (Submit Application)

When you are ready (completed the application and reviewed/worked on your supporting docs) - you can submit the application to Assetline.

When you press the submit button, Loanapp will package up your application and submit it into Assetline's assessment queue, and you will see the final page in Loanapp that confirms successful submission.

After you have submitted

Once you have submitted, if you open your Loanapp again you will note that you can view all of the sections but they are now not able to be edited.

Simpology Manager

As a broker partner of Assetline, you are able to log in to their "Simpology Manager" at any time to check on the status of your deal. (You will get an invite, your login will be your email, and you will need to set a password).

When you login, you will land on the Application Grid which is your doorway back into the application; and also receives the Backchannel messages from Assetline assessment.

For your submitted application, you can see the status, and have some controls to re-open Loanapp, and check on assessment status:

You can also click through to the Supporting documents and Information Request sections, which can be useful if you want to work in these sections without opening Loanapp.

Need help? Click Live Chat

If you need help while you are working on your Loanapp, remember you are able to click Live Chat to get help at any time by clicking the button the bottom right corner:
