How to Use Virtual Check-In in the SKED App
What is Virtual Check-In?
The SKED App supports a Virtual Check-In feature—patients can announce their arrival (or check in) via the app, reducing front-desk load and making the process smoother.
Step-by-Step: Patient View
Open the SKED App on your mobile device.
Navigate to your upcoming appointment (e.g., “Today”, “Tomorrow”).
Tap the Check-In or Arrived button when you arrive (or prior to arrival) – this signals to the practice you’re ready.
If the practice uses a barcode check-in workflow, you may also open the barcode in the app so front desk or a scanner can quickly mark you present.
Wait for confirmation (could be on-screen or a notification) that your arrival has been logged.
