If your SKED Admin displays a red triangle with “Disconnected”, your SKED services are not syncing with your EHR properly. Follow these steps to get SKED back online:
Restarting the SKED Sync Service
Follow the steps below to restart the SKED.sync service on your server.
1. Open Task Manager
Open the Task Manager on your Windows server.
2. Navigate to Services
Select the Services tab (or the puzzle-piece icon on the left sidebar).
3. Restart the SKED.sync Service
Locate SKED.sync in the list.
If its status is Running, right-click and select Stop.
Once it shows Stopped (or if it was already stopped), right-click again and select Start.
4. Confirm SKED is Connected
Open your SKED Admin and check the top-right corner.
You should see Connected with a green checkmark. This confirms that SKED is back online.
If the Service Is Stuck on “Stopping”
Go to the Processes tab (top icon on the left sidebar in Task Manager).
Find the process named syncer-exe.
Select it and click End Task.
Return to the Services tab and start SKED.sync again.
