Why Is My Withdrawal on Hold?

Why a Slay Markets withdrawal is pending or on hold: ACH clearance hold, large-wire verification, open positions, compliance review, banking mismatch, business-hours cutoff. How to check status and resolve.

A Slay Markets withdrawal is most often placed on hold or shown as "Pending" for one of six reasons: a recent ACH deposit still in its clearance hold period, a large wire withdrawal pending additional verification, open positions reducing your available balance, a compliance or account review, a banking information mismatch, or a request submitted outside business hours. To find the exact reason, open Account Dashboard > Transfer Funds > Transaction History and read the status and any note on your withdrawal. If the hold is unexplained or has run longer than expected, email Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com.

This article explains each common cause of a Slay Markets withdrawal hold, how to resolve it, and how to check your withdrawal status. Support submissions are accepted 24/7 and receive a response within one business day; support hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, closed weekends and federal bank holidays.

⚠️ Trading gains are never held. Profit from your trades has no withdrawal hold and can be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal holds apply only to deposited principal. If you are only trying to withdraw trading profits, there is no hold period.

Why is my Slay Markets withdrawal on hold after a recent ACH deposit?

If you recently made an ACH deposit and are now trying to withdraw, your Slay Markets withdrawal may be held because ACH deposits are subject to a clearance hold. Withdrawals of recently deposited ACH funds are restricted until that hold period expires.

ACH deposits are held for up to 5 calendar days from the day the deposit clears before they are available for withdrawal. You can confirm the exact release date for your specific deposit in Account Dashboard > Transfer Funds > Transaction History.

Wire deposits have no withdrawal hold. If your funds were deposited by wire transfer, you can withdraw them at any time after they clear.

Withdrawing by wire extends the hold to 10 calendar days. If your deposit was made by ACH or debit card and you are withdrawing by wire transfer, a 10-calendar-day hold applies from the clearing date. Withdrawing by ACH instead keeps the hold at 5 calendar days.

This ACH hold protects against ACH reversals — when a bank reverses a deposit after it has been credited to your Slay Markets account. Until the hold expires, the deposited funds are not considered fully settled and cannot be withdrawn.

Why is my large wire withdrawal pending additional verification?

Large wire withdrawals may require additional verification before they are processed. If your large wire withdrawal is pending, contact Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com to confirm what is needed.

To resolve this: email Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com to confirm what additional verification is needed and have your withdrawal processed.

Why can't I withdraw my full balance when I have open positions?

Slay Markets withdrawals are limited to your available balance — your account equity minus the margin required for all open positions. If you have open positions consuming a large portion of your equity, the amount you requested to withdraw may exceed what is actually available, and the withdrawal can be held or reduced.

To resolve this: close open positions to free up margin and then resubmit the withdrawal for the available amount, or reduce the withdrawal amount to match your available funds.

Why is my Slay Markets withdrawal held for compliance or account review?

In some cases, Slay Markets may place a temporary hold on a withdrawal while an account is under review. This can happen for several reasons, including unusual account activity, AML compliance checks, or a recently submitted account change. Slay Markets is required to investigate unusual patterns before processing withdrawals; this is standard compliance practice and does not necessarily indicate a problem with your account.

If your Slay Markets withdrawal is held for compliance reasons, the review may take additional time. Check Account Dashboard > Transfer Funds > Transaction History for a status note, and email support at support@slaymarkets.com if your withdrawal has been on hold longer than expected.

Why is my Slay Markets withdrawal flagged for a banking information mismatch?

If the bank account you are withdrawing to is different from the account used for your most recent Slay Markets deposit, your withdrawal may be flagged for review. As an AML requirement, withdrawals must generally return to the same bank account that funded your trading account.

To resolve this: email support at support@slaymarkets.com to verify and update your banking information. Linked bank account changes are not self-service and are processed by a representative for security and AML compliance, which can take several business days. For the full banking update process, see Updating Your Account Information.

Why is my withdrawal not processing — was it submitted outside business hours?

Slay Markets processes withdrawal requests submitted outside of business hours on the next business day. If you submitted a withdrawal after 12:00 PM Central Time, or on a weekend or federal bank holiday, processing begins the following business day. You can request one ACH withdrawal per day. Slay Markets support hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET.

How do I check my Slay Markets withdrawal status?

To check the status of a Slay Markets withdrawal, view it in your Transaction History:

  1. Log in to your Account Dashboard.

  2. Select Transfer Funds from the left navigation menu.

  3. Click Transaction History.

  4. Locate your withdrawal request. The current status and any notes are displayed.

Once a withdrawal shows as Completed, the funds have been sent and your own bank's processing time may add 1 to 2 additional business days before they appear in your bank account. The Slay Markets withdrawal status definitions are:

What should I do if my Slay Markets withdrawal has been pending longer than expected?

If a Slay Markets withdrawal has been pending or on hold longer than you expected, take these steps:

  • Check Transaction History for a status update or note explaining the hold.

  • Verify you completed any additional verification the support team requested for a large withdrawal.

  • If no note is visible and the hold remains unexplained, email support at support@slaymarkets.com. Submissions are accepted 24/7 and receive a response within one business day.

Have your transaction ID and withdrawal submission date ready before contacting Slay Markets support. This allows the team to locate your request quickly.

Frequently asked questions about Slay Markets withdrawal holds

Q: How long can a Slay Markets withdrawal be on hold?

A: Hold duration depends on the reason. ACH deposit holds release on a scheduled date visible in Account Dashboard > Transfer Funds > Transaction History. Compliance reviews may take additional time depending on the nature of the review. If a hold persists longer than expected without an explanation, contact support at support@slaymarkets.com.

Q: Will I be notified when my Slay Markets withdrawal hold is released?

A: Slay Markets does not send an automatic notification when a hold is lifted. You can always check the current status of your withdrawal in Account Dashboard > Transfer Funds > Transaction History at any time.

Q: Can I cancel a Slay Markets withdrawal that is on hold?

A: Possibly — cancellation depends on the processing stage and is never guaranteed. If the withdrawal has not yet been sent to your bank, cancellation may be possible, but once it has been processed and sent it cannot be recalled. Email support at support@slaymarkets.com immediately. For the full process, see Cancelling a Pending Deposit or Withdrawal.

Q: Why can't I withdraw funds I just deposited via ACH?

A: ACH deposits to a Slay Markets account are held for up to 5 calendar days from the day the deposit clears before they are available for withdrawal, to protect against ACH reversals. You can see the exact release date for your deposit in Account Dashboard > Transfer Funds > Transaction History.
