SmartRent Manager

Features

Multiple Access Providers - Clients can now integrate with multiple community-level access providers in SmartRent Manager. This is particularly important to clients who already have a community access provider, such as Brivo, and are interested in implementing SmartRent’s Video Intercom.

Yardi 2-Way Sync - SmartRent's integration with Yardi now allows for the automatic syncing of work orders for individual units back into Yardi. Once the feature is turned on, any work order created in either Yardi or SmartRent will automatically synchronize with the other system. This upgrade simplifies the day-to-day maintenance tasks for site teams, making it easier to manage work orders in one place, resulting in a better user experience. Additionally, this enhancement ensures that clients have the necessary tools for scaling their operations. It's important to note that access codes will only be visible in SmartRent.

Settings Search - SmartRent Manager users can effortlessly find settings by entering keywords or browsing categories, streamlining the process of discovering and implementing the changes they need.

Rent Dynamics Integration - SmartRent now has an integration with Rent Dynamics. This integration will streamline prospect management and scheduling by syncing SmartRent's Self-Guided Tour solution with Rent Dynamics for customers.

Zendesk Chat in SmartRent Manager - SmartRent Manager users can now utilize Zendesk's Chatbot to locate useful answers or engage in a chat with SmartRent support to promptly address issues they encounter. When a user inputs an issue, pertinent help articles immediately populate. If there is no article on point or the user's query is not adequately addressed, they will connect with a live chat agent. In the absence of available chat agents, the user can directly submit a support ticket via the chat box.

Activity Log 2.0 - The enhanced Activity Log in SmartRent Manager now offers advanced filtering capabilities. Users can effortlessly filter events by date, event type, device type, and device name, providing property managers and site team members with precise insights into the timing, location, and details of property events.

Resident App 3.10

Features

Urgent Request Toggle for Service Requests - Communities can now choose to make the “Urgent Request” toggle available to residents who create a service request in the Resident App. In addition, the in-app copy can be customized to provide guidelines to residents as to what constitutes an urgent request. To adjust these settings at the property level, users should navigate to Settings → Integrations → SightPlan. (Important note: to use this feature, the community must have Smart Apartments and Work Management)

Rent Pay Widget - Communities can now add a “Rent Pay” widget in the Resident App, creating a convenient and easy way for residents to navigate to their payment portal. To enable Rent Pay in the Resident App, users should log into SmartRent Manager, navigate to Settings → Residents → Rent Pay Settings and then add the payment portal URL.

In-App Resident Profile & Password Updates - Residents can now update their resident profile and password directly in the Resident App. To update the resident profile, residents should navigate to More → Account Settings → then tap the pencil icon next to the first name. To update the password, residents must navigate to More → Account Settings → Change Password.

Video Intercom Notification Preferences - Residents with Video Intercom at their community can now customize their notification preferences to determine whether they want to be notified via video call in the Resident App or by a phone call to their mobile number. Residents can also opt out of receiving intercom notifications completely. To adjust preferences, residents should navigate to More → Account Settings → Video Intercom.

Hide/Show Access Codes on Access Widget - The Resident App now defaults to hiding access codes on the Dashboard for privacy reasons, requiring residents to tap an “unhide” button to view.

Bug Fixes

Two-Factor Authentication for Android - Android users who were unable to enter the six-digit code they received when logging in to the Resident App via two-factor authentication are now able to log in with two-factor authentication as expected.

Access Control

Features

Show Card/Fob Number in Event Logs - The Alloy Access App now displays Facility Codes and Card Numbers for card/fob events. To access this data, users should navigate to Site -> Activities -> Events to view the Events table to find car and fob related events to see the new added detail!

Bug Fixes

Schlage - Unable to Revoke Access Level Assigned FOBs - Members of Schlage sites who have an Access Level assigned, are now able to remove access when the FOB is marked lost or returned.

Marking Schlage Doors Unsynced When Access Level Changed - Users at Schlage sites whose access levels are changed are now marked as Unsynced when the access levels are updated. To learn more about Schlage sites visit our Schlage User Support Guide.

Work Management

Features

Procure Search Capabilities - Work Management’s integration with HD Supply makes it easy to identify and order supplies needed to complete tasks, unit repairs and preventative maintenance. This update creates efficiency and further improves users’ search capabilities within the HD Supply Integration which can be accessed directly from the Work Management app. Now, users are automatically authenticated and property-specific information is populated. When an authenticated user searches for a part, the user will access the catalogs and search results specific to their property. For example, properties can choose to boost search results for their preferred appliance manufacturer and de-prioritize results for another. Previously, authentication happened when the user added a part to their quote cart. Now, users will easily view the necessary and applicable parts and the search results automatically incorporate the asset data; if a task has an asset linked, the search results will be narrowed to the specified make and model.

Answer Automation

Features

Self-Guided Tours in Answer Automation - This release features the ability to send a prospect the link to create a self-guided tour through Answer Automation. When a prospect calls in to a property, they can now receive a link that enables them to set up a self-guided tour. This release is exciting as it not only improves the user experience for prospects attempting to schedule tours, but it also increases the value of having both Self-Guided Tours and Answer Automation.
