Features
Task API Updates - We updated our Task API to allow for additional functionality, including the ability to accept and present photos, create tasks based on coordinates, provide entry preferences and notes, receive category visibility and urgency flags, and edit tasks, enabling the ability for residents to message technicians in real time. Webhooks are also available to notify Task API users of task changes. These changes will impact all Funnel-mutual clients.
iOS Asset to Task Linking - Users can now add tasks directly from the Asset Details screen and filter assets to see only those with open tasks associated with them. This update is the final phase of our asset and task linking project.
Android Biometrics - This update adds an additional level of security in the event that a device is left unattended with the app open in the background, only the owner of the device can view the app and access any sensitive information. In the past the app would never lock or sign the Android user out, even if closed or backgrounded. Now, the app will lock if force closed or backgrounded, and the user will need to use their device biometrics to unlock the app.
Bug Fixes
iOS Tag Permissions - We fixed a bug that blocked users from adding tags when using custom roles, despite having Create Tags permissions.
Asset Edit Lag - We fixed a bug that caused a delay when editing assets on sites with a high volume of assets.

AAC-2001 OSDP Reader Support - Alloy Access users can now address and configure Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) compatible readers to work with the Alloy AAC-2001 directly in the latest version of the Alloy Access web platform. OSDP brings higher interoperability, increased security and advanced functionality to the platform. Alloy Access is committed to supporting the security industry standards to provide secure and interoperable products for our customers.
AAC-2001 NEDAP uPass Long Range Reader Support - The Alloy AAC-2001, SmartRent’s new and more cost effective access controller, now supports NEDAP uPass long range readers. uPass long range readers are utilized at vehicular gates and garage doors to allow residents to drive through access points using tags (1, 2, 3) without having to stop and present a card or fob, or input a PIN code.
Schlage Doors Table Update - We updated the Doors Table to display the firmware version of, and battery information for, Schalge Engage locks that are synced in Alloy Access web. Serial numbers no longer show with leading “0”s, and the columns are accurately spaced. Users can also filter by name or serial number. These updates greatly improve the user experience when interacting with the Doors Table in a Schlage site.
Update MPL Controller Firmware - We now have the ability to provide over-the-air (OTA) updates to Mercury LP1502 & LP1501 controllers in the latest version of the Alloy Access web platform. Adding the OTA updates increases security and ensures SmartRent’s access control platform takes advantage of the latest features, as well as provides our clients with a high level of security.
