SmartRent 1.94.0
Features
Marketplace 1.0 - We are excited to announce the launch of Marketplace, a new space within SmartRent designated to highlight our partnerships. This is where your community can connect with third-party services and products that can enhance their SmartRent experience. The Marketplace section is located at the community level and will be accessible to all users by clicking on the Marketplace tab; we will launch Marketplace with Engrain SightMap as our first offering.
SightMap is the best interactive map in the industry, and it:
Lives on the your community website, increasing user engagement
Integrates all of your unit and property content into one digital location
Will help prospective residents visualize their future community and find their ideal unit relative to amenities, providing them with a better user experience
Bug Fixes
A Paired/Associated Lock is Listed as an Option - If your community is integrated with Level or Salto locks, this bug fix prevents potential confusion when pairing devices by removing the devices that are already paired or associated to another unit so they are not listed as an option.
Deleted Unit is not being removed from Device Mapping Overview Page - If your community is integrated with Level or Salto locks, this bug fix will disassociate the device from the unit and remove it from the Device Mapping page.
Manually Closed Auto-Created Work Orders Don't Send Notifications - When a resident has opted in to receive maintenance notifications, this bug fix will now send notifications for manually closed work orders.
Self-Guided Tours 2.55
Features
Entrata Calendar Integration 2.0 - If your community utilizes Entrata, we have added the capability for teams to keep prospects from booking tours during timeslots where community events have been scheduled. When enabled, this feature allows the prospect to only schedule Self-Guided Tours within the available time slots. Note: Only 1 Self-Guided Tour can be set up within a single timeslot; multi-booking is not supported.
RealPage - Pull Min and Max Pricing Using Rent Matrix - We have integrated with the RealPage Rent Matrix to sync price ranges for tourable homes, saving site teams time with manual data entry and pricing management. For prospective residents, it is helpful to have complete price ranges before committing to schedule a Self-Guided Tour. Currently, clients can manually enter minimum and maximum price ranges but now they will be able to automatically sync existing price range data from their RealPage Rent Matrix.
Resident Mobile 2.21.2/Alloy SmartHome 1.14.2
Features
Resident App Now Available to All - The Resident App is now available for all communities, whether or not a hub has been installed. Example communities would be those that utilize only BLE locks (Salto), Alloy Access, or Alloy Parking. Previously, the app would crash if someone who didn't have a hub tried to open it, creating a poor resident experience. Now, instead of crashing, the resident will be shown text on various screens throughout the app explaining what they can and cannot do. The in-app experience will vary based on the community’s access methods and devices. For example, residents in a community with only Alloy Parking who attempt to log into the app and do not have a hub will be directed to the Resident Portal.
Please see the Support Guide for details on the resident experience with various community setups.
NOTE: The in-app experience for residents already using the app will not change.
Ring “Ding” Events have been renamed to “Ring” events - Residents with Ring devices connected to their SmartRent accounts were getting confused by seeing “Ding” events in their Activity Feed. They were not associating these events with their Ring devices. We have renamed the events to “Ring” to provide better clarity on the source of activity.
Bug Fixes
Android
“Stay Signed In” Feature Does Not Work - This fixes an issue where residents were being logged out of the app even when they had enabled “Stay Signed In”. Residents who have selected “Stay Logged In” will now only be asked to log in if they haven’t used the app in the last 14 days, reset their SmartRent password on any device, or have formally logged out.
Network Setup Screen Suggests Connecting to Wifi/Ethernet When Already Connected - This fixes an issue where residents were being shown the Network Setup screen even when the hub was already connected to WiFi/Ethernet. When navigating to Network Settings, the resident now sees the correct page based on the current network status (i.e. “Connected to Wifi/Ethernet” or setup options.)
Security Events Not Appearing in the Activity Feed - This fixes an issue where Security Events were not being displayed in the Activity Feed. (i.e. “system armed/disarmed” etc.) Residents can now see their Security Events.
Headers Not Updating - This fixes an issue where, when returning to the device details screen from the device Activity screen, the Device Details header would incorrectly show as “Activity”. The header now properly shows the device name.
Thermostat setpoints move unexpectedly when setting up Auto Mode - This fixes an issue where, when editing Auto Mode, the minimum temperature setpoint would move when adjusting the maximum temperature setpoint (and vice versa.) The minimum and maximum temperature setpoints now move independently from one another.
Recurring Guest Access Codes Incorrectly Limited to Two (2) Days - The max number of days a recurring guest code can be used is controlled by a community-wide setting in SmartRent. This fixes an issue where recurring guest codes were being limited to 2 days regardless of the SmartRent setting. Recurring codes can now be set for more than 2 days, not to exceed the maximum number set by the community.
Residents Unable to Save a Scene Without Naming It - This fixes an issue where residents would create a Scene but it would not save because it had not been given a name. A name is now required before attempting to assign devices and save the Scene.
New Schedules Only Show After Refreshing the Screen - This fixes an issue where residents would not see a new Schedule in the Schedule List immediately after creating it. Residents had to navigate to the Device screen, then return to the Schedules screen to see a new Schedule. The Schedule screen now immediately shows the new Schedule.
App Glitches When Trying to Create an Access Code - This fixes an issue where residents would be kicked back to the Manage Access screen after trying to create an access code from the Lock device screen. The resident can now seamlessly create an access code when navigating from the Lock device screen to the Manage Access screen.
iOS
Password Bar Preventing Resident From Logging In - This fixes an issue where the iOS password bar was automatically appearing but the return button would not cancel it. As a result, residents couldn’t tap on the username and password fields to log in. The return button is now working.
Save Checkmark on Scene Screen Doesn’t Always Save - This fixes an issue where, after creating or updating a scene and tapping the checkmark to save it, swiping down to exit the view will undo the save request and the Scene will not appear in the list of Scenes. Swiping down now closes the view and the Scene will appear in the list of Scenes.
Devices Could Control Themselves Through an Automation - Added logic that prevents devices from being the trigger to automation that would control the same device.
Back Button Not Working On Activity Feed Screen - Fixed an issue where the back button did not do anything on the Activity Feed. The back button now works as intended.
