If a customer made a mistake in the order or wanted to cancel the order, you can quickly and easily refund the transaction by following the steps below when you're using Square payments as your payment gateway. If you are using another gateway, you will need to log into your gateway's virtual terminal directly to refund the customer.
Refund the Order
Go to the [Orders] Dashboard and search for the order you want to refund
Click [Refund] under Order Summary. This will redirect you to your Square account. If you're not logged in yet, enter your Square login credentials.
Click the transaction in your Square account, then click [Issue Refund].
