How to Refund Event Tickets

For tickets sold through your Sociavore site

Refunding an event ticket does two main things. Firstly it will return the paid balance (money) to the customer. Secondly, for events with a limited number of tickets available to be sold, it will open up the refunded tickets for new guests to purchase.

Step 1 - Navigate to Event Management

Under the "Publish" tab and the "Events" tab, find the event you would like to issue a refund from. Click the three vertical dots icon to view additional options and select "Manage".

Step 2 - Find the Ticket To Refund

Click on the "Attendees" tab to view a list of attendees who have purchased tickets. Find the three vertical dots icon, click on it, and click "Refund ticket".

If you do not see the three vertical dots, you may need to scroll along the chart of attendees to find it on the right-most side. On some devices, this can be done by sliding two fingers leftward at the same time, or by using the scroll wheel on a mouse.

Step 3 - Officiate the Refund

In this pop-up, make sure the details of what you want to refund are correct then click the "Refund" button. This will refund the order on Sociavore and will redirect you to Square to "Issue Refund" there.

You can also toggle whether or not to restock the tickets, making previously sold tickets available for purchase again, or toggle the option to send an automatic notification to the customer about the refund.
