Google Business profiles are free to create and use; if you've taken over an already existing business, there may even be one already created for you.

The easiest way to see your Google Business profile is simply to do a google search for the name of your business - the panel that displays to the right of search results is where customers will see your profile also.

I don't seem to have control of my Google Business page, what do I do?

It's always possible you will have lost, or never initially claimed, control of your Google Business page; that's no problem, Google make the process of regaining control really easy.

Claiming Control Of A Google Business Profile

  1. On your Computer (this process can't be done on mobile) open Google Maps.

  2. In the search bar, enter the business name.

  3. Click the business name and choose the correct one from the options that appear.

  4. Click "Claim This Business", then "Manage Now..."

  5. Select a verification option, and follow the on-screen steps.

Requesting Access To A Google Business Profile

In cases where there are already active owners on the profile, the "Claim This Business" option will instead read "Own this business?"

This will direct you to a form that indicates who the other active users are, and allows you to send a request to have them add you.

What can I do with my Google Business page through SocioConnect?

Google Review Management

Socio's Inbox features will list any reviews your Google Business profile receives as they come in, and allows you to respond directly through our app.

Should I respond to reviews?

Using the Edit button next to your Location, you can update information like your business address and opening hours, pressing "Save" or "Sync Now" will then send these updates to your connected Google Business profile and update them there.
