Channels

In the Channels screen you will have a list of all social media channels currently connected to your Venue, along with their connection statuses, and an indication of what Groups they're assigned to.

To filter this list and make it a little more readable, click any of the filter drop downs lining the top of the screen, or type into the search box for a specific channel you're looking for.

Adding A Channel

To connect a new social media channel click the button.

Each social media platform has it's own steps to go through in order to connect, SocioConnect's on-screen instructions will guide you through these steps.

Or for a deeper look at connecting each network, just click the icons below.

Once a new channel has been added, you'll be given the option to add it to an already existing Location.

Tip ๐Ÿ’ก If you don't have locations already created, you can always do this and assign the correct channels later from the Locations screen.

The final step when added a location is making sure its AutoPosting setting is correct.

Reconnecting A Disconnected Channel

It's unfortunate, but once in a while you'll see a channel that has become disconnected - meaning your posts and data won't be in sync with SocioConnect, and scheduled posts would fail to publish.

There a several reasons this can happen - the specific error message that comes back from the social media channel will be detailed when you hover your cursor over the little question mark symbol.

To reconnect, click the green wheel icon, this will then bring you to a similar process to connecting channels in the beginning, reestablishing the link between Socio and the social network.

Note ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ If you've got lots of disconnected channels, from a Facebook outage or similar event, don't worry - following the steps to reconnect any one of them will trigger an attempt to reconnect all at once.

Removing A Channel

It's also possible to remove a channel from the system completely, you do this by clicking the icon next to the channel's name.

Removing a channel will completely disconnect it from SocioCommand - deleting past data, as well as future scheduled posts - so make sure this is what you want before doing so - if your plan is only to stop posting for a particular channel for a short period, removing it from it's associated groups may be an easier option.
