Do I need to accept all TikTok permissions for Soco to work?

Soco needs every TikTok permission turned on to work fully, because any permission left off disables the tools that rely on that data, and no link in your showcase changes without your approval.

Yes, you need all of them on. Leaving a permission off is choosing which parts of Soco stop working for you. Permissions decide what Soco can see and offer; you still decide whether a link changes.

Why Soco asks for all TikTok permissions

Each of Soco's tools reads a different part of your TikTok Shop data. With every permission on, Soco can:

  • Scan your showcase.

  • Show you higher-commission links for your products, and replace a link when you approve the switch.

  • Help you keep your showcase on the best-paying links, updating only when you approve.

  • Show you accurate creator shop and collaboration information.

Permissions let Soco see your data and offer changes. Deciding whether a change happens stays with you.

What happens if a TikTok permission is off

Any Soco feature that relies on that data stays unavailable until you turn the permission back on. Soco can't read data you haven't given it access to, so the feature has nothing to work from.

Turn all TikTok permissions back on

To fix a permission problem, reconnect your TikTok account with every toggle on:

  1. Log out of TikTok.

  2. Log back into the correct TikTok account.

  3. Reauthorize Soco and turn on all permission toggles.

You'll know it worked when the Soco features that were unavailable open again.
