Why is Soco asking me to authorize TikTok again?

If you connected TikTok before the Creator Dashboard launched, Soco asks once to authorize it again so the dashboard can read your data.

Written by Basel from Soco

Soco asks you to authorize TikTok again because the Creator Dashboard needs permissions your first connection didn't include. You see this request once, if you connected your TikTok account before the Creator Dashboard launched.

What authorizing TikTok again unlocks

Authorizing TikTok again lets the Creator Dashboard read your TikTok Shop data. It then shows your earnings, your top products, your videos and which videos your sales came from. Until you authorize again, the dashboard can't load your data. The Creator Dashboard is part of Soco Pro, in the Soco app version 1.38.0 or later. If you don't see it, update the Soco app to the latest version.

Authorizing TikTok again happens on TikTok's own screen

The authorization happens on TikTok's own screen, not inside Soco. If TikTok asks you to log in, you do it there, so your TikTok password goes to TikTok and Soco doesn't see it. TikTok writes the permission names and descriptions you see there. Soco reads your own videos through TikTok's posting access. Soco has no feature that posts videos or any other content to your TikTok account.

Authorize TikTok again

To authorize TikTok again when Soco asks:

  1. Accept Soco's request to authorize TikTok again.

  2. Make sure you're on the TikTok account you use with Soco, and log in to it if TikTok asks.

  3. Follow the steps on TikTok's screen to authorize Soco.

You'll know it worked when Soco stops asking you to authorize TikTok. If the video parts of the dashboard stay empty, check that Soco has access to your TikTok videos: Do I need to accept all TikTok permissions for Soco to work?
