Genres are useful pieces of metadata to add to your songs as they show up on the share and pitch links that you send out and they help you filter through your catalog.

To add genres to a song project:

1. Open a song project by clicking the song title in your catalog.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the song project. Here you will see Genres, Tags, Description, and iTunes MP3 Comments.

3. Start typing a genre into the Genres field and select the matching result from the pre-populated list.

4. You can add the corresponding genre to the song project by clicking on it. You can add more than one genre to the song project if you'd like.

To remove a genre, simply click the X that is located next to the genre.

Don't see the genre you're looking for in the pre-populated list? Please contact support@songspace.com to see about having it added.
