Installation
The base of Davros Pro Gen 2 Head has a UNC 3/8" - 16 female thread, allowing direct installation onto the male thread of the tripod or accessory.
We provide a step-down adapter for tripod systems that use a smaller UNC 1/4" - 20 thread to ensure compatibility.
Please note: The Davros head is designed to be installed directly onto the tripod, replacing the existing head unit. It is not intended to be screwed on top of another tripod head.
Operating Instructions
Attaching your rifle
In order to attach your rifle to the Davros Pro head, you will need one of our Classic Adapters mounted to your rifle.
To attach your rifle to the Davros Pro, simply locate the spigot into the slot on the adapter. The magnet will ease this process. To remove the rifle from the Davros Pro, firmly pull the rifle upwards from the spigot. Sometimes it can help to push up the underside of the stock with your thumb.
Attaching your optics
Our range of optics adapters will allow you to mount spotting scopes, binoculars, cameras & other devices with standard photographic 1/4-20 UNC or 3/8-16 UNC threads to your Davros Pro head.
Main Locking Knob
Loosen the main locking knob, adjust your optic to the desired position, and then tighten the locking knob to hold the optic in place. Depending on the weight of the rifle and the positioning of the adapter on your stock, it may be possible to lock the rifle in position whilst you wait.
Friction Control Knob
The friction control knob allows you to set the friction of the ball joint. This is down to personal preference of where you find the most stability, although heavier rifles or optics may require a higher level of friction to ensure stable and smooth control.
Pan Locking Knob
Loosen the pan locking knob by turning anticlockwise and rotate the head to adjust the panning position.
