What Happens If You Travel to a Restricted State

What happens to your Splash Sports account when you travel to a restricted state — what you can and can't do, and when access is restored.

Updated yesterday

Splash Sports verifies your physical location at the time you enter a contest — not your home state or address. If you travel to a state where real-money contests aren't available, here's exactly what changes and what doesn't.

What You Can't Do in a Restricted State

  • Deposit funds into your account

  • Enter new real-money contests

What You Can Still Do

  • Make picks on contests you entered before traveling — entries locked in before you crossed into the restricted state remain active

  • View your contests, leaderboards, and results

  • Withdraw funds — withdrawals are available from anywhere in the US and Canada, including restricted states

  • Participate in entertainment-only (self-managed) contests — these are available in all 50 states with no location restrictions

When You Return to an Eligible State

Access to deposits and new real-money contest entries restores automatically as soon as you're physically back in an eligible location. No action needed on your end.
