Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you received the following error message while trying to log in:

"Request blocked. Please disconnect from VPN or other IP masking services and try again."

This guide will help you resolve the issue.

Why you're seeing this message

Splash Sports uses security systems to prevent access through VPNs and IP-masking services. These tools can interfere with the login process, as well as with password resets and contest participation. Using such services can disrupt location verification processes, which are crucial for ensuring secure access and complying with regional restrictions.

Steps to Fix the Issue

  1. Check if you're using a VPN:If you're connected to a VPN, temporarily disable it.

  2. Turn off any IP-masking services:These may include browser plugins or apps designed to hide or alter your IP address.

  3. Avoid protected networks (such as corporate or school Wi-Fi):These can also cause similar issues. Try switching to a more open network, like your mobile data or home Wi-Fi.

  4. Refresh and log in again:Once the VPN or masking service is disabled, try logging in to your Splash Sports account again.5. Disable Ad Blockers: Temporarily disable any ad-blocking software or extensions, as they might interfere with account access.

  5. Turn Off Auto-Fill: Manually input your login details to prevent incorrect information from being auto-filled.

  6. Use Google Chrome for optimal performance: Certain browsers may have compatibility issues; Chrome is the recommended browser.

  7. Try Another Device: Login issues may sometimes be device-specific; consider attempting to log in via another phone, tablet, or computer.
