Need to Modify Your Contest? Here's What You Can (and Can't) Edit

Updated over 2 weeks ago

✏️ What You Can Edit (Before the Contest Starts):

You can update the following by going to:
Commissioner Tab > Active > Manage > Settings

  • Contest name

  • Contest description

  • Banner image

  • Specific settings (depending on whether there are entries in your contest, start/pick deadline, etc.)

  • Scoring rules

  • Push settings

  • Maximum entries

  • Early games inclusion

πŸ”’ What You Cannot Edit:

Commissioners currently cannot change the following once the contest is created:

  • Sport or format

  • Prize payout structure

  • Pick deadlines: These must be configured during contest setup and cannot be changed after the contest starts. Commissioners may modify future pick deadlines after the current slate ends.

  • Entries per player: This option becomes unchangeable once the contest begins, ensuring fairness.

  • Total life and team reuse settings: Changes are not permitted if users have already made picks for multiple weeks. However, deleting existing picks allows these settings to be updated.

πŸ”„ Want to Start Over?

If no one has entered your contest yet:

  1. Go to your contest

  2. Tap the three dots next to "Invite"

  3. Select "Cancel Contest"

If entries have already been submitted:

  1. Ask entrants to withdraw their entries β€” they can go to My Contest > Active, select the contest, and use the three-dot (...) menu to select Withdraw. Entry fees are automatically refunded to their Splash account.

  2. Once all entries are withdrawn, cancel the contest using the steps above.

  3. If locked settings (like total life or team reuse) need to change, ask players to delete their existing picks first. Changes can then be made via the contest manager.
