Find out the minimums and maximums you can load with Spriggy.

Updated over 2 years ago

Your Spriggy Family membership includes:

  • Spriggy prepaid Visa card (per child)

  • Your Parent Wallet

  • Savings and Goals (combined total for all your kids)

Spriggy card

You can transfer money to a Spriggy card from your Parent Wallet and also via Spriggy Me.

  • Spriggy card balance limit

The maximum balance per Spriggy card is $999. If your child’s Spriggy card exceeds its $999 limit, any transfers to the card will be unsuccessful.

  • Spriggy card annual load limit

Every Spriggy card has an annual load limit of $10,000. This is the maximum amount of money you can put on your child’s Spriggy card over a 12 month rolling period.

Parent Wallet

  • Parent Wallet limit

Your Parent Wallet limit is $999. This includes money in your Parent Wallet (which includes all funds in your kids’ Savings and Goals). For example, if your kids have $200 in their savings and $200 in their goals, and you have another $500 in your Parent Wallet, your total balance will be $900 ($200+$200+$500) . You will only be able to top up $99 after which you will reach your Parent Wallet balance.

  • Parent Wallet annual load limit

Your Parent Wallet (which includes all funds in Savings and Goals) has an annual load limit of $10,000. This is the maximum amount of money you can put in your Parent Wallet over a 12 month rolling period.

  • Loading your Parent Wallet

You can load from $10 to $240 per top up. Parent Wallet top ups are limited to $500 in any 24 hour period.

  • Savings and goals

Your kids’ Savings and Goals are subject to the combined limit of $999, as they’re part of your Parent Wallet.

  • Family Groups

Every parent has a separate Parent Wallet and the same limits apply. The Parent Wallet balance of an Additional Parent won’t impact the Parent Wallet balance of the primary Parent. If an Additional Parent sends money to a shared child’s Savings or Goals, they become funds of the primary Parent and are included in the limit for the primary Parent’s Parent Wallet.

  • Increased limits

We’re currently testing increased Parent Wallet limits of $4,999 with a limited number of families. The testing program is full at the moment, but if you’d like to take part in the future please reach out to our Member Help team.
