What is a Primary Parent?

Everything you need to know about a Primary Parent.

Updated over 2 years ago

The Primary Parent is the adult who starts a Spriggy Family membership with their details via our sign up page.

There can only be one Primary Parent per child. The Primary Parent has authority over the Spriggy Family membership and has access to all in-app functionality via their Parent Login.

Functions that are exclusive to Primary Parents include:

  • Activating Spriggy cards

  • Ordering a replacement card

  • Setting up or editing a Child Login

  • Setting or changing a child’s Spriggy card PIN

  • Sharing a child’s Spriggy Me link

  • Inviting family and friends to join a Family Group

  • Transferring money from their child’s Spriggy Card/Savings/Goals to their Parent Wallet

  • Transferring money from one child to another

The Primary Parent can also transfer funds between their Parent Wallet and any of their children’s Spriggy cards, Savings or Goals. If your kids use Spriggy, but you didn’t add them, then it’s likely that you’re not their Primary Parent but part of their Family Group. See this guide for more information about Family Groups.
