Definition

Additional Parent User

Refers to a parent, grandparent, guardian or close friend who is linked to a member’s Family Group as an Additional Parent. Additional Parent Users can also be a Primary Parent to children they have added to their Spriggy membership.

Connected Account

A debit card or bank account that a member adds to their Spriggy membership to make Top Ups and get charged for fees.

Child-Based Pricing

Our old pricing plan which is no longer in effect as of 29 June 2022.

Family-Based Pricing

Our current pricing plan which applies to all members who join on and after 29 June 2022.

Primary Parent

Any parent or guardian who signs up for the Spriggy membership and assumes full responsibility and control over it.

Scheduled Pocket Money

Automated payments or transfers from a Parent Wallet to a child’s Card or Savings.

Scheduled Top Ups

Automated payments or top ups from a Parent’s Connected Account to their Parent Wallet.

Top Up

A payment from a Parent’s Connected Account to their Parent Wallet.

Verification

A small verification debit or deposit made to a Connected Account to confirm ownership of the Connected Account and/or a request for identification documents.

Saving Goals

A child’s savings wallet to which a child can add money either from their Card or Savings. A parent can also add funds to a child’s Savings Goal from their Parent Wallet. Funds will continue to accumulate in the Savings Goal until the target amount is reached or the goal is deleted.

Spriggy Me

A feature that allows family members and friends to add funds to a child’s Spriggy card via a unique link, without the need to create a membership

SPRK

SPRK is a Spriggy Pocket Money feature for children age 13 and older. This feature gives the child access to BSB and Account Number linked to their prepaid card, ATM withdrawals, higher balance limits, new app design, and instant transfers to other SPRK users.

Peer to Peer

This is a feature accessible to SPRK users that allows them to transfer funds from their card to a fellow SPRK user's card.

Spriggy Schools

A separate Spriggy Product that helps parents manage school admin. It allows parents to order children’s lunches, events and uniforms from the Spriggy Schools app.

Spriggy Invest

A separate Spriggy product that allows parents to set up investments for their children in the future.

Transfer/s

When funds are moved from one place to another

Parent Wallet

When payment is made from a Connected Account to Spriggy, it goes to the Parent Wallet. This is where money lands when it is topped up by a primary and additional parent. Money can be transferred from a Parent Wallet to a child’s Spriggy card or their Savings or Savings Goals.

Back to Bank Transfer

This is when a parent requests that funds be returned from their Parent Wallet back to their Connected Account.

Family Groups

This is a feature that allows Primary parents to add other members of the family or a close friend to their Spriggy family group as an additional parent.

Jobs

A Spriggy feature that allows Primary and Additional Parents to set up weekly or one-off chores for their children to complete. Jobs can be paid or unpaid.

Referral Code

A unique code a parent or child can share with friends when they invite them to join Spriggy. If a friend successfully joins using the referral code, both referrer and then new joining Spriggy member will receive a bonus.
