Earning Wave Points is simple - there are 3 ways to build up your balance every time you spend, plus bonus methods! 🚀
📍 Finding Wave Earning Partners in the SQUID app:
Open the SQUID app, navigate to the Wave section, tap Earn Points, then:
Select Prepaid Vouchers to see all the businesses you can purchase a prepaid voucher for and earn Wave Points on your purchase.
Select View Nearby Offers to find participating Wave Earning partners near you.
Select Online Offers for participating online retailers
Each partner is marked with a badge showing how you earn with them; Prepaid Voucher 🎟️, Linked Card 💳 , or Web Link🔗 .
Here's what each one means and how to earn with it:
🎟️1. Prepaid Voucher (Pay Ahead) - (Pink voucher icon)
Purchase prepaid vouchers for businesses marked with the pink Prepaid Voucher badge, found under Prepaid Vouchers or View Nearby Offers, and earn Wave Points instantly — before you even spend the voucher!
Available brands include Tesco, Aldi, Ticketmaster, Lastminute.com, and more.
Points are credited to your balance as soon as the purchase is confirmed.
Spend your voucher like a normal gift card whenever you're ready.

💳 2. Linked Card - (Green Card icon)
Connect your Visa or Mastercard to SQUID once, and earn points automatically every time you use that card at a partner marked with the green Linked Card badge — no tapping or scanning needed!
Points are awarded automatically on every successful transaction, whether in-store or online.
The number of points you earn per €1 spent is set by each individual business.
Some businesses run a multiplier (shown as 2x, 3x, etc.) to reward you for spending more.

🔗 3. Web Link - (Purple link icon)
For partners marked with the purple Web Link badge under Online Offers (like Just Eat), there's no card linking involved at all:
Open the SQUID app and go to Earn Points → Online Offers.
Tap through to the partner marked with the Web Link badge.
Complete your purchase as normal on their website.
Wave Points are credited to your balance once your purchase is confirmed by the retailer.
🔧 Please note: Points from Web Link purchases may take a little longer to appear in your balance as they are verified by the retailer after purchase.
👥 Refer a Friend to Wave Points:
Earn 500 Wave Points for every friend you successfully refer to SQUID, and they'll receive 500 Wave Points too!
Open the SQUID app and go to the Wave Points page.
Tap the Refer a Friend button.
Share your unique referral code with friends and family.
Once your friend signs up as a new SQUID user and spends €50 or more on a prepaid voucher, you both earn 500 Wave Points each! 🎉
Don't see the Refer a Friend button? Your app likely needs to be updated. Head to the App Store/Play Store, search for the SQUID app, and tap on it in the store listing - if the button shows "Update", tap it to install the latest version.
💡 Please note: The referral reward only applies when the person you refer is a brand new SQUID user. Existing SQUID users do not qualify.
