Sorry to hear you had trouble at the till. What to do depends on whether it was a Wave Points prepaid voucher or a loyalty card reward. đ
đď¸ Wave Points prepaid vouchers (e.g. Tesco, Aldi, Lidl)
Prepaid vouchers bought through Wave Points work like a normal gift card and should be accepted at that brand's participating stores. Now and then, staff may not be familiar with digital vouchers.
Things to check first:
Whether the voucher is in-store only, online only, or both. If it's restricted, you'll see a yellow notice on the brand's page in the Prepaid Vouchers section of the app.
That you've opened the voucher from Wallet â Vouchers so the barcode is showing on screen. If the barcode isn't showing, tap the View Balance button.
The voucher's remaining balance and expiry date, which you can see by tapping on it in Wallet â Vouchers. If you can't see the balance, tap the View Balance button.
If it's still refused: ask to speak to a manager and show them the barcode, or try another branch. Then let us know using the Chat with our support team button in the Account section of the app, with:
The brand and store location
The date you tried to use it
What the staff told you
â Loyalty card stamps and rewards
Each business runs its own loyalty programme on SQUID and decides how stamps are given and rewards are redeemed. This means a business can choose not to give a stamp or accept a reward. If this happens, we'd recommend speaking with the business directly.
