Delete/Cancel an Indirect Event

As of Penelope version 4.18.1.0 it is possible to delete/cancel:

  • A single Indirect Event

  • Multiple Indirect Events that are a part of the same recurring series

Below you will find instructions for both scenarios.

How to Delete a Single Event

To delete/cancel a singe Indirect Event follow the steps below.

Depending on your Penelope configuration you may be asked for a password. If this happens you will need to contact your System Administrator. Deleting an Indirect Event is permanent and cannot be reversed.

  1. Locate the Indirect Event on your Calendar or by using the Event Search.

  2. Select the Indirect Event you would like to delete/cancel.

  3. On the Indirect Event page click delete.

  4. Enter the delete password if required. If no password is required you will skip steps 4 and 5 and go immediately to step 6.

    ​Warning

    If a password is entered and continue is clicked (step 5) the Indirect Event is deleted/cancelled immediately and you will skip step 6.

  5. Click Continue. The Indirect Event will be immediately deleted/cancelled (skip step 6). This action cannot be reversed.

  6. If no password is required a Confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm you wish to delete/cancel the Indirect Event. Click okay to confirm. The Indirect Event will be immediately deleted/cancelled. This action cannot be reversed.

Important: The event will be deleted immediately and the action cannot be reversed.

How to Delete a Recurring Series in Bulk

To delete/cancel an Indirect Event (recurring) series in bulk follow the steps below.

Depending on your Penelope configuration you may be asked for a password. If this happens you will need to contact your System Administrator. Deleting an Indirect Event is permanent and cannot be reversed.

  1. Locate the Indirect Event on your Calendar or by using the Event Search.

  2. Select the Indirect Event in the recurring series you would like to delete/cancel.

  3. On the Indirect Event page click delete.

  4. A pop up will appear saying Do you want to delete this event or all events in the series?. From here you can select which Service Events you wish to delete. You can only delete events that were booked as part of the same recurring series.

  5. Click continue.

  6. If a password is required, enter the password (1) and click continue (2) or go to step 7.

  7. Another message will be displayed confirming the events which have been deleted. Click okay.

Important: All events will be deleted immediately and the action cannot be reversed.
