The Calendar page displays a daily, weekly or monthly view of your calendar items and is automatically populated with any Service Events, Indirect Events, Groups Events and Informal Events where the logged-in worker is an attendee.
Accessing your Calendar
Wherever you are in Penelope your Calendar is always a single click away. To open your calendar simply click the Calendar tab on the far right-hand side of your screen. The calendar will slide open over the top of your current page.
Calendar – The Basics
You can access an event directly from your Calendar by clicking on the event name. Once you are viewing the event page it will be possible to make changes to the event (depending on your permissions), however, it is not possible to make changes from within the calendar.
It is also possible to change your calendar view, filter by site, hide availability, hide i-times and events.
Viewing Double Bookings – Calendar
Penelope version 4.20.1.0 (July 2020) and above – When viewing your Calendar (daily and weekly views) in the Collaboration Suite you will now have the ability to see double bookings. Double bookings will be indented next to each other (similar to how they are displayed in Outlook). Double bookings are rare but can occasionally happen, this feature will help you easily identify and resolve them (if necessary).
Viewing Double Bookings – Resources
Penelope version 4.20.1.0 (July 2020) and above – When viewing the Resources Calendar (daily and weekly views) in the Collaboration Suite (Calendar tab) you will now have the ability to see any booked resources including double bookings. Double bookings will be indented next to each other (similar to the double booking of events shown above). Double bookings are rare but can occasionally happen, this feature will help you easily identify and resolve them (if necessary).
To open the Resources calendar, click the Resources button highlighted in red above. Any resources which are double-booked will display as per the image under Viewing Double Bookings.
Filter Calendar Events by Site
Penelope version 4.20.1.0 (July 2020) and above – When viewing the Calendar in Penelope, it is now possible to filter events by Site. This feature makes it easier to identify where events are located by narrowing down their search results.
To filter your Calendar by site, use the Site drop-down and Site Tree checkbox options located under Filters (highlighted above in red) on your Calendar page. Your Calendar is located in the Collaboration Suite.
How to Print your Calendar
It is not possible to print a copy of your calendar, however, the My Worker Day Sheet report is a useful alternative.
The My Worker Day Sheet report lists out all scheduled events for a specific date for the Worker running the report. In addition to displaying a broad range of peripheral information relative to the events, it reports on their coverage usages and limits for billing purposes. If no specific date is selected the report will select today’s date.
The report can be accessed by clicking on the Reports tab on the sidebar.
